A record 36 schools to participate in Junior Junkanoo

The Ministry of Youth. Sports and Culture in collaboration with the National Junkanoo Committee held a press conference launching Junior Junkanoo season on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at the ministry’s main offices.Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture the Hon. Mario Bowleg said he was happy to see ‘a record setting 31 schools’ participate in the last parade and announced that 36 schools will participate in this parade. Valentino Hanna general manager, Sol Petroleum, said Sol “ESSO” ‘is pleased to be the lead sponsor for this the 36th year and looks forward to another 36 years or more. Sol also presented a $50,000 cheque to the National Junkanoo Committee.
