Arrest warrant issued for accountant in N$2.2m fraud case

UPDATE: A warrant for arrest has been issued for accountant Michael Bronkhorst in a matter in which he is accused of defrauding a certain Mariette Coffee-Lind of N$2.2 million. The arrest warrant was issued today in the Windhoek Magistrate’s Court after Bronkhorst failed to appear. It is alleged that during March 2024, in the Khomas-Windhoek district, Bronkhorst provided his own account number while pretending it belonged to Momentum, thereby accepting clients’ money for his own use. This is not Bronkhorst’s first tango with the law, as he is also accused in another matter of defrauding the investment company Petrichor Capital of N$103 million by creating fake loan agreements on behalf of clients who were policyholders.
