Chargers, Giants Urged To Work On Jermaine Eluemunor Trade
As stated above, the Los Angeles Chargers need a right tackle, and Jermaine Eluemunor might be the best one on the market. While he’s far from a household name, the former journeyman found a home in New York and has played well over the past few seasons. Add in his ability to play both tackle positions and even guard, and it’s easy to see why the Chargers would want him. Head coach Jim Harbaugh believes in winning games in the trenches, and Eluemunor would improve a unit that has suffered injury after injury throughout the season.
The only question is whether or not the Giants would be willing to trade Jermaine Eluemunor. While the team doesn’t stand much of a shot at the playoffs with their 2-4 record, they shouldn’t lose quality offensive linemen. Rookie Jaxson Dart has played well during his brief time in the league, but the recent successes of Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold, and Daniel Jones show that environment plays a pivotal role in developing quarterbacks. New York does not have an ideal replacement for Eluemunor, so why would they trade him and risk disrupting Dart’s development?
