Chennai to host India Game Developer Conference for the first time

For the first time, Chennai will play host to the India Game Developer Conference (IGDC) organised by the Game Developer Association of India (GDAI) from November 5–7, 2025. The 17th edition of the conference will showcase over 150 sessions with a lineup of global voices from the video gaming world across storytelling, design, publishing, and education. Gaming development “Chennai represents India’s next frontier in gaming development. With strong IT infrastructure, talented graduates, and active government support, the city provides the ideal launchpad for the next generation of game creators. IGDC 2025 will bring global visibility to Chennai’s vibrant ecosystem,” GDAI Chairperson Sridhar Muppidi said. IGDC 2025 will also include an Indie Showcase spotlighting promising Indian and international indie titles. Alongside its keynotes, expert sessions, and panels, IGDC will also feature a cross-border developer track and IP Connect meetings to enable business matchmaking between studios, publishers, and investors.
