Its cast became familiar faces in every home and Aditya Srivastava, who played Inspector Abhijeet, is still one of the most loved names from the series. Recently, he found himself in the spotlight again after clips and photos of him dressed as a groom began spreading online.
Many viewers quickly assumed that he was getting married. But the truth behind the visuals is very different.

Aditya has been married for years and is a father to two daughters, Aarushi and Advika. His wife, Mansi Srivastava, was also present at the event seen in the viral videos. The groom’s outfit and the celebrations people saw were not from a wedding at all. They were taken during his anniversary celebration, where he was surrounded by family and close friends.

Apart from CID, Aditya Srivastava has acted in films like Kaalo, Bhakshak and Super 30, along with many other projects. But in an earlier conversation with The Times of India, he shared that most people still identify him mainly as Inspector Abhijeet from the long-running show, which aired from 1998 to 2018.
The actor said, “Even though I have done 20 films and other projects, people still recognise me as Abhijeet from CID. It feels good because that means it’s a character that the audience loves watching and it stays with them even after the show goes off air.”
Other than Aditya, CID also features Shivaji Satam and Dayanand Shetty.
