Cody Rhodes breaks silence after major WWE announcement

Cody Rhodes has become the face of WWE ever since returning to the promotion back in 2022 following his AEW departure. The Stamford-based promotion recently made some new signings for their developmental program for Indie wrestlers. Cody broke his silence on the news by addressing the new signings on his X account.WWE started a program called WWE ID last year to support the training and development of young independent wrestling stars. The company collaborated with many wrestling schools like Booker T's Reality of Wrestling and Cody's Nightmare Factory.On a recent episode of WWE Evolve, the new signings were announced. It was revealed that one of the students from Cody's wrestling school named Mike Cunningham earned himself a WWE ID contract. The American Nightmare reposted the video of the segment on his X account to praise his student."So dang proud of Mike!" Rhodes wrote.It will be interesting to see what's next for Mike now that he's a WWE ID prospect. It will be great to see him apply what Cody Rhodes taught him in the Nightmare factory going forward. Since then, he has been feuding with Drew McIntyre who he beat last month in the main event of WrestlePalooza.He is now set to defend the title against the Scottish Warrior once again at the upcoming edition of Saturday Night's Main Event. Originally there was supposed to be a number one contenders match between McIntyre and Jacob Fatu on SmackDown few weeks ago. However, things took a deep turn after Fatu was attacked before the bout. Cody was furious after McIntyre won the match by forfeiture and asked for an impromptu title match against him. McIntyre won the match by disqualification after Cody hit him with the Championship belt.The two are now set to settle the score in Salt Lake City. Fans are curious to see if the title reign of Cody Rhodes will finally come to an end this Saturday.
