Cool but sunny Sunday with warmer temperatures on the way

Temperatures have dipped to freezing or a bit below in many of our northern counties. Dense fog has also developed in some areas, including St. Louis and St. Charles counties. A Dense Fog Advisory is in place for part of the region until 9AM. Fog will mix out gradually throughout the morning and skies will become sunny for those areas experiencing fog by about mid-morning. Despite ample sunshine, today will be cool with highs only in the mid 50s. By Monday, a shift in wind will bring those temperatures back to the mid 60s. We'll keep unseasonably warm temperatures around through the work week, getting to or near 70 Tuesday through Friday. We'll see a chance of a few showers in the Friday time frame.
