Maternal hospital readmissions

• An article (Scale of hospital recalls for mothers due to missed birth injuries ‘heartbreaking’ – MP, 18 October, p6) said 14,630 new mothers in England had to be readmitted to hospital within 30 days of childbirth in the last 12 months. In fact, it had not been made clear to the Guardian that the data analysis supplied by the Liberal Democrats was for baby readmissions within 30 days of birth, rather than for new mothers. The article has been removed from our website. • Other recently amended articles include: Trump’s anti-truth crusade is not just an attack on facts – it’s an unravelling of the Enlightenment The blood pressure secret: everything you need to know to improve yours – and live a longer, healthier life Sex offenders to be denied parental responsibility for children born of rape Fallen stars: why are Hollywood A-listers flopping at the box office? ‘We want to use this as a launchpad’: can A24 also conquer the world of theater? ‘A punch in the face’: Germany’s dash for gas raises questions over climate targets Chemical linked to low sperm count, obesity and cancer found in dummies, tests find ‘I said goodbye to Heath Ledger at this urinal’: a stroll round Terry Gilliam’s pivotal places European leaders near deal to use frozen Russian assets for Ukraine Meet Anamanaguchi, the band behind the last Scott Pilgrim video game’s soundtrack – and the next one Editorial complaints and correction requests can be sent to: guardian.readers@theguardian.com.You can also write to: Readers’ editor, Kings Place, 90 York Way, London N1 9GU, or leave a voicemail on +44 (0) 20 3353 4736.
