Corrections and clarifications

• There were several name errors in our obituary of Brian Patten. The poet’s mother was known by her second name, Stella, rather than her first, Irene; ​and Bevan was ​not her birth name but her surname after her second marriage. ​Also, his father’s name was Arthur, rather than Frederick​; and the teacher who gave encouragement was Eric, rather than Harry, Sutcliffe (2 October, Journal, p10).
