Corrections and clarifications

Pacing and graded exercise therapy | Anne Marie Chebib

• An article confused two different health strategies when it described pacing as “gradually increasing exercise” and something that is “challenged by some ME patient groups”. Pacing, also called energy management, involves a person managing their activities to stay within their energy limit, and it can be used by those with ME. The treatment that involves increasing exercise is called graded exercise therapy, which under Nice guidelines is not recommended for people with ME (When Milly got sick, 27 September, Saturday magazine, p19). • Anne Marie Chebib is the chair of the UK Crowd Management Association, not its managing director as we said (Crowds out of control, 4 October, p22). • Other recently amended articles include: Friday briefing: How a historic case accusing two men of spying for China dramatically fell apart Inside a US parents’ group chat about raising kids in violent times Dinner or a shower?
