The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday issued a delimitation schedule for Union Councils in Punjab, marking a key step toward the forthcoming Local Government elections. According to schedule, all administrative tasks-maps, notifications, forms, appointments, and training-will be completed by October 12. Delimitation committees will prepare the preliminary list of constituencies from October 13 to 31. The preliminary list of constituencies following delimitation for inviting objections will be released on November 01. Voters may file objections with the delimitation authorities from November 2 to 16. The final date for disposal of objections by the delimitation authorities, for submissions made between November 2 and December 1, is December 1. The delimitation authorities will communicate their decisions to the Delimitation committees by December 5. The delimitation committees will publish the final list of constituencies on December 8.
