A 25-year-old man who died after falling from a block of flats in West Yorkshire has been named locally as Travis Lodge as tributes have poured in for the young man. Travis was described by loved ones as a "genuine, honest and funny lad". He was rushed to hospital after reports that he had fallen from a height at a block of flats on Tower Hill, Sowerby Bridge , on Thursday. Police were seen carrying out investigations on the ninth floor of the building. A 37-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault after the incident on Thursday. Travis tragically died from his injuries later that day. Tributes have since poured in for the young man, YorkshireLive reports. Adam Chapman wrote on Facebook : "I don’t know where to begin. An absolute shock, you’re no longer here with us, Travis. "Growing up with you, from scraped knees to our recent late-night talks about our plans for the future, you've shaped me more than you could ever know. Losing you at 25 doesn't feel real to me. I’ll carry your memory forward till the day I die, until we meet again." Josh Niner wrote: "I'm so sorry to hear this. I went Download for the first time by myself to see Metallica, BMTH, Slipknot, etc. Travis had got there with, I think, his sister and her partner. "Genuine, honest and funny lad was great meeting him. We were supposed to meet at the download the following year, but he never ended up going. It's really sad to hear this; my condolences to all family and friends. R.I.P. Travis Lodge party on up there, mate." West Yorkshire Police are appealing for any potential witnesses to come forward. A spokesperson said: "Police were called at 10.06am yesterday (November 27) to a block of flats on Tower Hill, Sowerby Bridge, to reports a person had fallen from a height. "A 25-year-old man was taken to the hospital. Sadly, the man died from his injuries in the hospital yesterday evening. Officers arrested a 37 year old man on suspicion of a section 18 assault, he remains in police custody at this time. The man’s death is currently being treated as unexplained. Calderdale CID are continuing to carry out enquiries." Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact police via 101 or the live chat function, quoting log 476 of November 27.
