Look: Duffer Brothers cast their real drama teacher in 'Stranger Things 5'

Nov. 29 (UPI) -- Stranger Things co-creator Ross Duffer said he and his brother Matt cast their real high school drama teacher in Season 5.

"Miss Harris is played by Hope Hynes Love. She was our high school drama teacher. High school was rough for me and my brother," Ross wrote on Instagram Friday.

"But Hope saw something in us we didn't see in ourselves -- and she helped give us the confidence to not only survive those four years, but to move to LA and chase our dreams. Shoutout to all the teachers out there making a difference. And please... let's prioritize the arts in schools."

Part 1 of the fifth and final season of the iconic sci-fi series premiered on Netflix Wednesday.

Part 2 is set to debut on Dec. 25 and the finale will be available on Dec. 31.
