Man arrested after online video showed assault in Gwynedd town

A man has been arrested after an online video showed an assault in a Gwynedd town. Police are appealing for witnesses following the alleged attack in Dolgellau. A North Wales Police Gwynedd South statement said: "Witness Appeal – Dolgellau Assault. While PCSO Delyth was on patrol in Dolgellau she was made aware of a video circulating online showing an assault on a male at the crossroads of Arran Road and Smithfield Street on the evening of 6th of October 2025. "The incident had not been reported to North Wales Police, but following review of the footage, officers arrested a male on suspicion of wounding. He has since been released on bail with conditions while the investigation continues." Inspector Iwan Jones added: "We would like to thank those who have supported the investiagtion and to bring it to North Wales Police's attention. We will actively pursue those who cause harm to others by working with the communities to ensure North Wales remains a safe place to live, work and visit" "We are appealing for witnesses.
