After years of apartment living, a woman shared the moment she finally got to introduce her rescue dogs to their new fenced yard—and their reactions didn’t disappoint. Dog owner Samantha Durden, 30, captured the incredible moment her pack of four rescue canines finally got to explore their new yard in full. Until recently, they had been living in an apartment—which wasn’t without its challenges. Not having a fenced yard meant that Durden and her partner Zack Davis, who reside in Fort Pierce, Florida, had to go out on 45-minute dog walks every few hours to ensure all the pups’ needs were met. Durden told Newsweek their routine was “very time-consuming,” but, thankfully, that is all in the past. Now, Asher, 6, Hades, 2, and 4-month-old Maple and Cypher have a yard all to themselves. We have to basically drag them back inside the house now.” Durden couldn’t resist sharing the heartwarming clip on TikTok (@sunshinesamii), and it has delighted so many people. During the footage, Durden can be seen calling the dogs out into the yard for the first time. Once they all realized they were free to roam around, there was no stopping the chaotic zoomies. It was an equally emotional moment for Durden too, who “started to tear up” when she saw how happy her rescue pups were. She said: “The first dog you see come out the door is Maple; she is very shy. That’s why Zack had to try and get her to go out the door. The second dog jetting out the door is Hades; he is a big ball of energy. Then comes the other puppy, Cypher; she is a little fireball and runs with no hesitation. “The last one is Asher, who is normally our grumpy old man. But, since getting that yard and having that freedom, he is a whole new dog. It was such a great feeling to see the life basically coming back to him before our eyes,” Durden continued. Having a fenced yard has been truly life-changing for the whole gang—particularly Asher who hasn’t ever had one before. Indeed, it has become such a hit, Durden is even thinking about getting a dog pool so the pups can splash around and cool off.
