NEC hand Hussein Mbalangu two-month suspension

Uganda Premier League side NEC Football Club has handed the head coach Hussein Mbalangu a two-month suspension. The development was confirmed by the club via their official social media platforms on Monday. “Head Coach Hussein Mbalangu has been suspended due to professional and ethical misconduct, effective immediately,” the statement partly reads. Reports have indicated that Mbalangu’s suspension is a result of his involvement with Ssaza Ssingo who qualified for the final of this year’s Massaza campaign. The statement further noted that in the meantime, James Odoch will assume the role of Head Coach as the gaffer serves his suspension. NEC have played two league games so far drawing with URA (1-1) and Police (2-2) respectively despite taking the lead in both outings. The Bugolobi-based side will return to action on Saturday, November 25 as they take on Entebbe UPPC at Bugonga Fisheries Ground.
