Osimhen tempting former Napoli teammate to join Galatasaray

Victor Osimhen has reportedly pitched Galatasaray to his former Napoli teammate. Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen is reportedly pushing for Frank Zambo Anguissa, his former teammate at Napoli, to make the switch to Galatasaray like he did. The Cameroon international joined Partenopei in the summer of 2021 and won the Scudetto with Osimhen. His Napoli contract expires in 2027, and he has been linked with an exit. Osimhen wants him in Istanbul Osimhen joined Galatasaray permanently in the summer, after spending last season on loan at the club. While many have expressed that the Nigerian belongs with a bigger club, Osimhen is happy in Istanbul, has settled at the club, and is making the environment more conducive for himself and his ambitions. One such step is attracting players to the club. According to the Cim-Bom reporter Ali Back Kucuk, Osimhen has attempted to convince Anguissa to join him at Galatasaray, per the Daily Post. While they signed Ilkay Gundogan from Manchester City in the summer, the Turkish champions are keen on improving their midfield options and are said to have Anguissa on their radar. Anguissa was reportedly close to a move to the Saudi Pro League or Sunderland in the summer transfer window, but Antonio Conte blocked the move, convincing him to stay. The former Villarreal man is an important member of Conte’s squad, and Galatasaray will be expected to demand about €27 million for his services.
