Speaker of Parliament Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin has officially sworn in two new Members of Parliament (MPs).
The newly sworn-in MPs are Bernard Bediako Baidoo of Akwatia and Professor Alidu Seidu of Tamale Central.
They were sworn in on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, when the House resumed from recess after its long break.
Bernard Bediako Baidoo was elected MP for Akwatia after securing 18,199 votes in the by-election.
The by-election was held following the death of the former MP, Ernest Yaw Kumi.
In Tamale Central, Professor Alidu Seidu was declared the MP-elect in the by-election after running unopposed.
He replaces the late MP, Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, who tragically died in a helicopter crash on August 6, 2025.
