Strictly fans 'screaming' as they spot Gorka Marquez's nod to show during absence

Gorka Marquez has left Strictly Come Dancing fans 'screaming' as he was seen making his own Halloween-inspired appearance during his show absence. Those who follow the hit BBC One dance show will know that the Spanish professional dancer has been part of the line-up since 2016. While he was confirmed in the pro line-up earlier this year, Gorka revealed before the Strictly 2025 series officially got underway that he wouldn't be getting a celebrity partner this year. He confirmed at the time was heading back to a judging role on the Spanish version of Strictly, Bailando con las estrellas, a position he first took on last year. While he was part of the pre-recording of the show's group numbers, which continued to be played out throughout the series, Gorka hasn't been seen live in the ballroom, with Bailando con las estrellas also taking place on a Saturday evening. While he will be back in a few weeks time, Strictly fans have still been keeping an eye on what Gorka is up to and were left rushing to comment on his latest Bailando con las estrellas appearance as they also celebrated with a Halloween special. The 35-year-old and his co-star appeared as the terrifying Grady twins from 1980 hit horror film, The Shining, which reminded fans of Strictly judges Anton Du Beke and Craig Revel Horwood making the same appearance on the UK version of the show last year. Sharing videos and pictures of Gorka on X (formerly Twitter) in costume, @GorkasJoe said: "LOOK AT GORKA I AM SCREAMING!!!!!! #BailandoConLasEstrellas8," before adding: "I’m obsessed with how in character he is." @monicalopez_ad commented: "#BailandoConLasEstrellas8 I love the jury's costumes, especially the duo Pelayo and Gorka." @lucymaygoodwin joked alongside the two different looks: "'Can I copy your homework?!' 'Sure, but do it in Spanish so it doesn’t look like we copied each other!' DEAD #Strictly #BailandoConLasEstrellas8." It comes after Gorka, speaking exclusively to the Manchester Evening News, confirmed his return to Strictly. "I'm still involved with Strictly with all the group numbers and I'm so grateful to still be part of it," he told us. "End of November, I'm back there [at Strictly] so I've got the best of both sides. But it is nice to be home and have opportunities to do other things that I've maybe always wanted to do..."
