The 43-year-old took to the stage alongside his fellow show dancers for a live workout with host Mel Giedroyc and personal trainer Joe Wicks. Neil was dressed in his sparkly outfit from the BBC dance competition, which he teamed with a green sweatband and rainbow leg warmers. Despite his grief the star smiled for the cameras as he built up a sweat with press ups and sit ups for the good cause. It comes after Neil took to Instagram on Thursday evening to announce that his dad had sadly passed away. He shared several black and white photos of his father and thanked his loved ones for making his funeral a 'special day'. 'I thought I knew my dad but yesterday I realised I didn’t after hearing so many lovely & funny stories from family and his closest friends, I know he would be smiling looking down with a pint in his hand. 'Thank you Wendy and everyone for making it such a special day. RIP DAD'. Neil was inundated with condolences from his Strictly colleagues including Karen Hauer who wrote: 'Sending all our love Neil'. It Takes Two host Fleur East wrote: 'Sending you love Neil! Such a difficult thing to go through. Big hugs.' Neil's ex-wife Katya Jones wrote: 'Rest in peace David,' while Strictly judge Motsi Mabuse added: 'So sorry Neil'. Neil and his fiancée, Love Island star Chyna Mills, revealed in December they were living on a boat due to difficulty in finding a permanent home. The couple, who are parents to daughter Havana, sold their previous homes with plans to move into a new property together, but have been left 'in limbo' as they search for the right place. She wrote: 'I sold my house so me and Neil could buy something together. 'Neil bought his boat before we got together and now its conveniently there for us to stay on while in limbo. '(Annoyingly) we just haven't found a house we like yet and I also didn't want to be in a chain because the process of buying a house is hell so hopefully we find something soon.' She confirmed the boat, initially intended as a holiday retreat or Airbnb rental, had become their temporary home adding: 'The plan was never to live on the boat. It was just supposed to be a holiday home and Airbnb for when we aren't using it'.
