In contrast to Peacock’s The Traitors, where celebrities are at the center of the game playing for themselves, the UK’s main series features civilians. Following the success of the format, the BBC produced its first version, featuring a celebrity lineup that averaged 11.1 million viewers in its final episode, according to Peacock. Those numbers turned out to be the biggest live audience of the year for a single UK show. A second season of The Celebrity Traitors has already been ordered.

Peacock has also found success with the format, and NBC ordered a civilian version of the format.
