This is Toyota's 1st electric car meant for racing

Toyota has unveiled a new concept car at the 2025 SEMA Show, the bZ Time Attack Concept. This is the automaker's first-ever battery-electric vehicle (BEV) specifically designed for competitive racing. The vehicle is built on the 2026 model year AWD bZ platform and packs over 400hp of power, making it a major step forward in electric vehicle performance. The bZ Time Attack Concept is a purpose-built BEV machine, designed to take on time attack circuits and hill climbs. It has competition aerodynamics, motorsports-grade suspension and engineering, and a significant boost in all-electric horsepower over stock. The car has been lowered six inches from its standard ride height with an integrated aero package including rear wing, side skirts, front splitter, and rear diffuser. The bZ Time Attack Concept is powered by Toyota R&D-tuned electric motors delivering over 300kW (400+hp) of power. This power is distributed to all four wheels through a bespoke ECU calibration. The chassis is suspended by TEIN coilovers and springs, while braking performance has been drastically improved with an Alcon system with Hawk pads adapted from Toyota's 1986 Cup and Corolla TC race programs. The bZ Time Attack Concept is more than just a concept car for Toyota. It serves as a rolling test bed for the next generation of electric vehicle motorsport development. The project showcases what can be achieved when additive manufacturing and traditional race-car craftsmanship come together, paving the way for future innovations in the automotive industry.
