Trae Young Injury Update: Hawks All-Star Suffers Brutal Leg Injury, Set to Undergo MRI

Trae Young exited the Atlanta Hawks' game against the Brooklyn Nets in the first quarter after suffering a brutal leg injury. Young is reportedly set to undergo an MRI to determine the severity of his injury, which seems to be in his right knee. The Hawks managed to beat the Nets, 117-112, despite not having their best player in the second half. Speaking to reporters after Wednesday's game, Hawks coach Quin Snyder gave an update on Young's injury. Snyder had some good news, with the initial diagnosis confirming that it's not an ACL tear. The star guard is still scheduled to undergo an MRI to know the severity of his injury. "I think the most important thing is that it is not his ACL," Snyder said, according to Hawks on SI. "He is going to get an MRI tonight or tomorrow and make a determination from there. So, not sure how long or what respect, but something that hopefully he is going to be back form whenever possible. He did not want to come out of the game. The coach addded: "He is such a competitor. He takes a lot of pride in being available. There been a lot of times in the time that we have been together that he has been banged up and he goes out and he plays, and you saw that tonight too. He tried to stay in there."Underdog NBA @UnderdogNBALINKHaynes: Trae Young (knee) to undergo MRI on Thursday.Trae Young suffered the injury during a play in the first quarter after teammate Mouhamed Gueye landed on his left knee.
