In a dramatic rescue in Uttar Pradesh’s Unnao district, a man who jumped into a river in an apparent suicide attempt was saved after becoming trapped in a patch of water hyacinths.The incident took place on Friday morning in Fatehpur Chaurasi. According to officials, 35-year-old Suresh jumped from a bridge into the river following a family dispute.However, instead of drowning, Suresh got entangled in water hyacinths that had collected along the river’s surface.
