A wedding event in Uttar Pradesh’s Bijnor district soon turned into a scene of chaos after a scuffle at a food counter escalated into a full-blown clash, leaving several guests injured.
The fight erupted between the bride’s and groom’s sides over the serving of chicken fries. According to a report in India Today, some members of the groom’s family complained of being served small portions of the dish, triggering tension in the event. To calm them down, the bride’s family brought more pieces but instead of being satisfied, the guests raised a new complaint — they said the food was not being served politely.

The argument quickly intensified and the event soon turned into a battlefield, prompting police to step in and restore order.
A video from the venue has surfaced on social media platform X that shows people running in panic, pushing and hitting each other as screams erupt in the background.
According to a witness, the scene became chaotic, with women and children caught in the middle of the commotion. One guest, who is said to be a heart patient, sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a hospital.
Describing the incident to NDTV, the witness said, “We came for a wedding. There was a gathering at the chicken fry counter. While guests were trying to get chicken fries, a fight broke out. There were women and children there, and a stampede occurred. One person has been hospitalised and his condition is quite serious.”
Following alerts from those present, police reached the spot and dispersed the groups involved. Officers remained at the venue to prevent any further disturbance, allowing the wedding rituals to conclude under their supervision.
