Keith Urban’s ‘joke’ about divorce emerges

Kidman filed for divorce from Urban on September 30, but one of the musician’s biggest fans — Dale Whiteside — said Urban hinted at the split during a Saskatoon, Canada, stop for his High And Alive World Tour on September 15. Whiteside, who strongly resembles the Let It Roll hitmaker, told TMZ that he had an in-person meeting with Urban, during which they discussed how much they looked alike. Whiteside revealed he told Urban that a couple had mistaken him for the singer at a music festival. However, they realised the mistake when they saw Whiteside wasn’t wearing a wedding ring. A rep for Urban didn’t immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment. Page Six confirmed on September 29 that Urban and the Moulin Rouge! actress had separated after 19 years of marriage. “Sometimes relationships just run their course,” an insider told Page Six at the time, adding that Kidman “did not want the separation and was trying to save things.” However, the Big Little Lies star filed for divorce the following day, citing the standard “irreconcilable differences.” She also included a parenting plan for their daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14. The Oscar-winning actress and the 58-year-old singer had been living apart “since the beginning of summer,” multiple sources claimed to TMZ at the time.
