
Blast at Tennessee military explosive plant, 19 missing and feared dead
Tennessee: In a shocking incident, a huge blast at a military explosive plant has left 19 people missing and feared dead in Rural Tennessee on Friday. The explosion destroyed a building on the company’s large 1,300 acre campus. According to the reports, the incident took place at Accurate Energetic Systems. The explosion flattened parts of the facility and caused major damage in the area. Further, emergency workers had to wait for hours before getting close because of the burning debris and risk of more explosions. Thick black smoke could be seen rising from the site in aerial footage shared by local news channels. Authorities reportedly confirmed several deaths but did not give an exact number. People living nearby stated that their homes shook and many in the town captured the loud blast on their security cameras. Cars and buildings near the plant were damaged and debris was scattered all around. As of now, emergency workers and local officials are still searching for the missing and putting out fires.
