City of Bartlesville Fall Yard Debris Pickup Dates December 8 Through 12

The City of Bartlesville has announced the next free yard debris pickup will be in December. Crews will be picking up leaves, grass, lawn clipping and branches that must be cut into four feet lengths or less.    Appearing on KWON's CITY MATTERS, Assistant City Manager Laura Sanders explained that City of Bartlesville staff members will be picking these items up from Monday, December 8 through Friday, December 12. Bartlesville School Job Fair Coming Up

Bartlesville Public Schools invites everyone to a job fair from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 12 at the High School Commons Area. The school is looking to fill several positions, including an assistant wrestling coach, teaching assistants, special education paraprofessionals, cafeteria workers and much more.  The school asks that candidates bring several copies of your resume. Additionally, they remind candidates Bartlesville offers many benefits, including the highest beginning teracher salary on the east side of the state. 

BHS Football Game/Sr. Night Moved to Thursday

Because of the pending chance of storms overnight Thursday and all-day Friday, many high school football programs have moved their games up a day. Several local teams, including Bartlesville vs Ponca City, are going to play their games on Thursday.    Bartlesville Public Schools Supt Chuck McCauley explains saying that it is Senior night, not only for football, but for band, pom and cheer, and moving it up a day makes the best sense for everyone.

TCT Foundation Golf Tourney Raises $32K for Students

The Tri County Tech Foundation raised $32,000 during its annual Swing Fore Students golf tournament at Hillcrest Country Club to benefit the Foundation’s emergency aid and food assistance programs. Bartlesville Man Charged With Child Endangerment

A Bartlesville man is facing felony charges after allegedly driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol with minor children in the backseat. 26-year-old Payton Johnson was charged on Friday with child endangerment by DUI, felony DUI, possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), and speeding. According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP), on Oct. 8 at approximately 11 p.m. Johnson was allegedly driving 93 mph in a 70 mph zone traveling southbound on Highway 75. Bartlesville Man Facing Additional Drug Charges

A Bartlesville man with pending felony drug charges now faces additional misdemeanor drug charges. 44-year-old Joseph Allison was charged on Monday with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. According to the Bartlesville Police Department, Allison was allegedly a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped at Lupa Ave. and Margarita Ave. After a K9 assist Allison was searched, and was allegedly in possession of a glass pipe and approximately three grams of methamphetamine.
