Gardaí make arrest following death of man (20s) in Dublin incident

A man has died following a fatal assault in Tyrrelstown, Dublin 15, in the early hours of Saturday. Gardaí received reports of a disturbance involving a group of individuals at Curragh Hall Crescent, Tyrrelstown. On the arrival of gardaí, those involved had dispersed. A short time later, a man in his 20s arrived at Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown with serious injuries. He was subsequently pronounced deceased. A man in his 20s was arrested in connection with the incident and has been held at a Garda station in Dublin. The scene at Curragh Hall is currently preserved for examination by the Garda Technical Bureau. The office of the State Pathologist has been notified. A Senior Investigating Officer (SIO) has been appointed to lead the investigation from the incident room at Blanchardstown Garda Station. A Family Liaison Officer (FLO) has also been assigned to support the family of the deceased. Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to this incident to come forward. Man (30s) dies after single-vehicle collision in Co Galway

A man has died following a single-vehicle collision in Tuam, Co. Galway, in the early hours of Sunday. The incident occurred in Lavally on the L2107 at Cappadavock, at approximately 4:30 am. The sole occupant of the car, a man in his 30s, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Coroner was notified, and the deceased has since been removed to the mortuary at University Hospital Galway, where a post-mortem examination will be arranged. The road remains closed at the scene, which is preserved pending a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Traffic diversions are in place. Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them. Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were traveling on the L2107 between 4:00am and 6:00am are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
