Cardinals OC Petzing aims to keep offense the same with Murray’s return in Week 9

Petzing believes the offense won’t change dramatically, which is hard to believe seeing Brissett’s numbers compared to Murray. In the first five weeks, Murray had one game over passing over 200 yards, while Brissett smashed that number in his two starts. Arizona’s offense became the best third-down conversion teams in the NFL under Brissett. Murray is averaging a career low in passing yards per game (192.4). The offense was not clicking to start the year with the 28-year-old, injuries to running backs James Conner and Trey Benson in a run-heavy offense will hurt its production. The last two weeks could’ve been Petzing finally figuring out how to succeed without his top running backs, or a realization of Murray’s shortcomings.
