It appears there might be a major shakeup in store for Monday’s episode of “WWE Raw.” At the conclusion of last week’s edition of the red brand, Seth Rollins was betrayed by his former stablemates Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed of The Vision. Following the attack angle, several reports confirmed that Rollins suffered a legitimate shoulder injury during his “Crown Jewel” match against Cody Rhodes. Fightful reports that the “Monday Night Raw” creative team has discussed a potential battle royal with the winner getting involved in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship picture. Rollins is the top male professional wrestling champion on the show, and while it hasn’t been confirmed at this time, rumors have surfaced that Rollins could be forced to vacate the title. It’s been said that the creative team has also mulled over the possibility of the winner of the proposed battle royal facing No. 1 contender CM Punk with the vacant gold at stake. Fightful reported that at least one person in WWE believed the best-case scenario would be a December return for Rollins, but there’s no update on how long Rollins will miss time for. Dave Meltzer of “Wrestling Observer Radio” mentioned that Rollins was set to undergo surgery. There’s no word on whether or not “The Visionary” has already undergone the procedure.
