Donald Trump lashes out at reporter live on Fox News as he issues health update

Fox News issued a breaking news alert after US President Donald Trump shared a huge update on his health. Speaking to reporters on Air Force One, Trump confirmed that he had undergone an MRI scan and insisted the results "had been good". When a reporter asked why he had an MRI, Trump explained: "Because it's part of my physical. Getting an MRI is very standard, do you think I shouldn't have it when other people have it?" The reporter attempted to point out that MRIs are typically used to examine a specific area of concern, but Trump quickly interjected: "Here's what the story is. I had an MRI. The doctor said it was the best result he has ever seen as a doctor. That’s it. But I had an MRI as part of my standard, yearly physical, and the result was outstanding." When pressed further about which part of his body had been scanned, the reporter asked: "Was it your brain or your heart?" Trump replied: "I have no idea what they analysed, but they analysed it well. They said I had as good of a result as they've ever seen." The president went on to confirm that the MRI was simply part of routine check-ups, the Express reports. Trump's health update comes following an interview with GB News, where he confirmed he is moving forward with legal action against the BBC for splicing together two parts of his January 6 speech - nearly an hour apart - to make it appear as though he encouraged supporters to storm the US Capitol. The BBC has issued an apology to the President but maintained that the mistake was unintentional. They also denied any grounds for defamation and have refused to give any compensation. Speaking on GB News to Beverly Turner, Trump said: "'It's fine. We apologise!' But when you say it's unintentional, I guess if it's unintentional, you don't apologise. "They made a beautiful statement, and they made it into a not beautiful statement. This is beyond fake. This is corrupt." The BBC's statement read: "This programme was reviewed after criticism of how President Donald Trump's 6th January 2021 speech was edited. During that sequence, we showed excerpts taken from different parts of the speech. "However, we accept that our edit unintentionally created the impression that we were showing a single continuous section of the speech, rather than excerpts from different points in the speech, and that this gave the mistaken impression that President Trump had made a direct call for violent action. "The BBC would like to apologise to President Trump for that error of judgement. This programme was not scheduled to be re-broadcast and will not be broadcast again in this form on any BBC platforms."
