North Lanarkshire parents and carers warned over Early Learning and Childcare application deadline

North Lanarkshire parents and carers of children born between March 1, 2023, and February 28, 2024, are being made aware of a change to the application deadline for Early Learning and Childcare (ELC) places for next year. Applications can be submitted until November 28. This is a change from the usual January/February timescale, and families are being encouraged to apply early to ensure their child is considered for a place. Councillor Michael McBride, convener of education, children and families, said: “We know many parents, especially those with older children, are used to applying for nursery places early in the new year. “That’s why we’re highlighting this change now – so families don’t miss out.
