Let’s take a look at this week’s theatrical releases: De De Pyaar De 2 Ajay Devgn is all set to be back at the big screens with the much-awaited sequel to his 2019 film De De Pyaar De. The sequel, directed by Anshul Sharma, will pick up after the events of the first part. Now 52, Ashish visits his 28-year-old girlfriend Ayesha’s family home to get her parents’ approval for marriage. The plot revolves around the struggles Asish and Ayesha face because of their age gap, highlighting a “pyaar vs Parivaar” clash. Alongside Ajay Devgn, the film stars Rakul Preet Singh and R. Madhavan in prominent roles. Now You See Me: Now You Don’t The widely acclaimed heist franchise Now You See Me is all set to hit the theatres with its third instalment. Based on a story by Eric Warren Singer and Lesslie, Now You See Me: Now You Don’t is a sequel to the 2016 film Now You See Me 2. The upcoming film will show the Four Horsemen reuniting for another high-stakes heist. Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, Isla Fisher, and Morgan Freeman will be reprising their roles. The film also casts a few newcomers, including Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa, Ariana Greenblatt, and Rosamund Pike. The Running Man The dystopian action thriller is based on Stephen King’s 1982 novel of the same name. The plot takes place in a game show called The Running Man, which pits runners against a team of murderous hunters. Any runner who can stay alive for 30 days will win the grand prize of $1 billion. The film stars Glen Powell, William H. Macy, Lee Pace, Michael Cera, Emilia Jones, Daniel Ezra, Jayme Lawson, Colman Domingo, and Josh Brolin in prominent roles. Kaal Trighori Directed by Nitin Vaidya, the supernatural thriller revolves around a mysterious cosmic event that occurs once in every 100 years, which awakens a destructive force called Trighori. The film stars Arbaaz Khan, Rituparna Sengupta, Mahesh Manjrekar, Aditya Srivastava, and Mugdha Godse in leading roles. Tamil period drama Kaantha stars Dulquer Salmaan, Rana Daggubati, Samuthirakani, and Bhagyashri Borse in leading roles. Set in the 1950s, the film revolves around a legendary director and his strained relationship with a film star he helped establish. Despite rumours that the film is based on the life of Tamil cinema’s first superstar, M. K. Thyagaraja Bhagavathar, the producers stated it is completely fictional.
