‘Initial concern’ on Aaron Rodgers’ Week 11 injury does not sound good

The Pittsburgh Steelers may need to power through without Aaron Rodgers for at least the next week or two. Rodgers appeared to hurt his left wrist late in the first half of the Steelers’ Week 11 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh, Pa. The four-time MVP tried to break his fall with his arms after taking a huge hit while trying to extend a play deep in Bengals territory. You can watch the play here. Mason Rudolph replaced Rodgers in the second half as Pittsburgh cruised to a 34-12 victory. Rodgers is reportedly expected to undergo further testing on Monday to determine the true severity of the injury, but the “initial concern” points to a potential multi-week absence. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Steelers QB1 is feared to have suffered “a slight break” in his left wrist.

Giannis Antetokounmpo bullies Cooper Flagg on monster dunk

Flagg, who stands at 6’9", has bullied smaller players throughout his young basketball career. But he’s become the hunted rather than the hunter across his first month of NBA action. The No. 1 overall pick got the meme treatment after his NBA debut, when he looked like a child playing against Victor Wembanyama. The 18-year-old has been vocal about his struggles in transitioning from college to the pros after his lone season at Duke. Flagg admitted that the Mavericks’ poor start has begun to take a toll on him. Getting dunked on by Giannis probably won’t help boost Cooper’s confidence. Nor will it help Nico Harrison’s chances of keeping his job, as Dallas continues to stumble early in the season.

NFL referee became ‘MNF’ star after saving Jaxon Smith-Njigba from angry Texans mob

An NFL referee stole the show during the “Monday Night Football” clash between the Seattle Seahawks and Houston Texans. The Seahawks led the Texans 27-12 midway through the fourth quarter at Lumen Field in Seattle, Wash. Quarterback Sam Darnold’s throw to midfield was intercepted by Texans cornerback Derek Stingley Jr., who ran it back to the Seahawks’ 37. Stingley was pushed out of bounds by Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who lost his helmet on the play. In a matter of seconds, Smith-Njigba was surrounded by angry Texans players. Referee Nate Jones came to JSN’s aid, wedging himself between the Seahawks star and his assailants.
