Firefighters called to rescue child stuck in potty
FIREFIGHTERS were called to deal with an unusual emergency rescue earlier today – after a two-year-old got into what the team described as a “potty predicament”. Upon arrival at little Leo’s family home after the call, the Jersey Fire and Rescue Service found the youngster “with his head firmly wedged inside his potty”. While Leo might have been a bit too curious for his own good, he was “really, really brave” as the crew worked to free him with a small saw while his grandmother reassured him. And that bravery was rewarded. Once free, Leo was rewarded with a new friend – a teddy named Blaze Bear – and both were reported to be “safe, happy, and giggling” after the incident. White Watch commander Richard Ryan said: “We don’t often get called to incidents quite like this one, but Leo took it all in his stride. “We think he’s got a bright future ahead… preferably outside of bathroom accessories.” The crew “gently suggested” that potties “be kept strictly for sitting from now on”, the service added.
