Tarot readings for every zodiac sign during the Neptune retrograde in Pisces
On October 22, Neptune, our planet of dreams and delusions, re-enters Pisces retrograde for the final time in our lifetime.
This closes a 14-year Neptune cycle that made astrology, intuition and spirituality part of mainstream culture, and this last gasp gives us one last window for waking up to our own potential.
This is the last time Neptune will swim in its home waters of Pisces for 165 years.
Pisces is associated with divine downloads, spiritual enlightenment, AND escapism by any means necessary.
The move here is to fully feel rather than strategically slip away from our most profound and terrifying emotional currents.
“Neptune in Pisces is a transit that promises a spiritual awakening, a phase of feeling heightened, sensitive, attuned to higher powers and forces, on the brink of some powerful revelation or change of heart,” author and tarot reader Kerry Ward, The Post.
To aid and abet your spiritual awakening, Ward has pulled a tarot card for each sign.

Fire signs – Aries, Leo, Sagittarius
FIVE OF SWORDS
The Five of Swords indicates that fire signs need to take stock of and take action to resolve ancestral/karmic wounds and childhood traumas.
“It’s time to really examine the things that have shaped your life through challenge, adversity, and negativity. Break it down into life stages… childhood, teen, young adult, etc, or themes like family, work, money,” said Ward.
She urges fire signs to look closely at their parents and caregivers to establish patterns.
“This self-awareness can point to the things you can proactively review and release yourself from.”
Feel it to heal it, folks.
Earth signs – Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn
SIX OF SWORDS
Hard as it may be for earth signs who are more inclined to hold on tight than let it go, release is the name of the game during this Neptune transit.
“Liberate yourself from ALL outdated, stagnant, inherited, borrowed, and habitual thought patterns and beliefs. Clear the decks,” said Ward.
She notes that earth signs tend to be “mental hoarders” whose clogged consciousness prevents new, more expansive modalities from taking hold.
“Be an empty vessel. In that state of vacancy, notice what emerges, intrigues, and comforts you. New glimmers will unfold in your freshened mind… and this will be the beginning of a whole new spiritual era.”
Air signs – Gemini, Libra, Aquarius
ACE OF CUPS
Ward shared that air signs are in the midst of birthing and becoming during this Neptune transit.
“This could be growing or starting a family, getting a new animal, or friendship circle, or potentially ‘birthing’ a powerful, creative project. You are inventive and innovative, and your spirit often roams at the edges of progress, looking for the next step, smelling the future, pioneering. This is you connecting to spirit, seeing what others cannot.”
Ward urges air folks to lean into the unseen.
“Let your imagination flow and bring you ‘gifts’- your ideas are there to be used and ‘birthed.’ It’s time to create.”
Water signs – Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces
KING OF WANDS
Water signs are being called to step into their purpose during this retrograde.
“The nature of your spiritual awakening is about rising to a leadership role and teaching and mentoring others,” shared Ward.
“You are both shrewd and caring. Blend the two sides of yourself by focusing on a project or initiative that you want to have a long-lasting impact on and enhance your knowledge of and affinity for it. Then, look for ways to share this, to gift it to others, to be a source of light and inspiration.”
According to Ward, teaching equals deepening.
“The best way to undertake and understand something is to teach it to others.”
