Galymzhan Kenzhebek a Dundee United transfer target as Tannadice club launch enquiry for Kazakhstan star

Dundee United have enquired about a January move for Kazak international Galymzhan Kenzhebek. The 22-year-old is out of contract with Yelimay at the end of the year. United’s head of recruitment Ross Goodwin has made contact with the player’s representatives to ask about his availability. United have not followed things up or made an offer. The winger has three goals in nine appearances for Kazakhstan. Kenzhebek is unlikely to be short of options. He has previously been linked with moves to Celtic and Hearts . Manager Jim Goodwin has still to finalise any of his transfer plans for January. He is only looking to make one or two tweaks after totally rebuilding his squad over the summer. Goodwin already has strength and depth and he is hoping that will be added to after this international break. He hopes captain Ross Graham and Max Watters will be back training next week and should also be quickly followed by Craig Sibbald, Will Ferry and Ryan Strain. The United manager confirmed: “We will have a few boys away on international duty. Hopefully, they all come back in good shape. “We hope to have a few of the injured boys back in time for the Falkirk game, to give us good strength and depth in the squad. “The likes of Ross Graham and Max Watters are making good progress. “We hope to have them back training with the group in the next week. “Craig Sibbald, Will Ferry and Ryan Strain aren’t serious injuries. “Again, I think the break has come at a good time for those players.”
