In a shocking incident, 22-year-old YouTuber and social media influencer Jack Doherty was arrested early Sunday in Florida, Miami Beach, where officers say they discovered drugs on him and linked him to a traffic disturbance during a police effort to keep the Entertainment District safe. In the story, he could be seen partying on a yacht with his friends and promoting livestreams on the Parti app, reports Miami Beach Police stated that Doherty was creating major traffic obstructions while trying to film content. Around 3:12 a.m., officers observed a group stepping into the street in the 700 block of Washington Avenue.Doherty broke away from them and stood in an active traffic lane, which officers said created a hazardous situation.According to , following the multiple commands given by the police, the influencer refused to comply and continued to obstruct traffic. Officers cautioned him that he would be arrested if he didn’t comply, but Doherty remained in the roadway, leading to his eventual detention. The influencer rose to fame in 2017 when his flipping videos went viral, and he has since built an audience of over 15 million YouTube subscribers, along with millions of followers on TikTok and Instagram. Doherty faces charges of drug possession, specifically amphetamine and marijuana, as well as resisting an officer without violence. Authorities reported finding, during the arrest, half of an orange, oval-shaped pill consistent with a Schedule II amphetamine and three hand-rolled cigarettes weighing around 4 grams.
