Big saving: The alarm clock that helps beat the dark mornings "The sunrise light is a warm, soft light and makes waking up on dark winter mornings a more pleasurable experience.," wrote one reviewer about the Lumie Sunrise Alarm Clock. The very good news, sleep fans, is that Amazon has the clock listed with 36% off it's normal price of £49.99. Kerri-Ann Roper in the Mirror writes: "With many clever features, the Lumie alarm clock can be set to simulate the sun rising, starting 30 minutes before the alarm sounds to waken the user naturally. This can also be set to mimic the sun setting at bedtime, with the light taking 30 minutes to gradually dim to darkness." There's some science behind it as well. Lumie is a British company founded in Cambridge in 1991. The company has spent more than 30 years researching how to help people reconnect with their natural rhythms for better sleep, mood and energy levels. The company says they invented the first wake-up light in 1992. By simulating a sunrise, the alarm clock offers a more natural way to wake up, which can help to combat SAD and winter blues as well as improve sleep, the brand says. It's certainly worth a try at 36% off!
