Rajasthan Royals is where I won my first IPL, and I hope to win more with this current group of players,” said the all-rounder, who joined RR for Rs 14 crore, in a statement released by the franchise on Saturday. Jadeja had been a mainstay at CSK since 2012, apart from the 2016 and 2017 seasons when the franchise was suspended. In 2022, he was entrusted with the captaincy but relinquished the role midway through the campaign and handed it back to MS Dhoni after the team endured a poor start. Joining Jadeja at RR from CSK is England’s seam-bowling all-rounder Sam Curran, who comes for an existing fee of Rs 2.4 crore. RR is Curran’s third team after being at CSK and Punjab Kings (PBKS). “Jadeja’s return is deeply special for everyone connected to the Royals. With Jadeja and Curran coming in, wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson, who spent 11 years with RR, has now moved to CSK. The long-serving wicketkeeper-batter’s decision to move to CSK for Rs 18 crore marks the end of a significant chapter for him with RR, where he had established himself as one of the team’s most influential figures. “Sanju was with us at trials when he was just 17 years old, went on to become one of our youngest captains of RR and since then, he has been an integral part of the Royals family for more than a decade, continuing to inspire everyone around him.” “His chapter with us has been one of belief, brilliance, and heart. Sanju has been an exceptional ambassador of our values, and we thank him for everything he has done for the Royals family,” added Badale. While RR have traded out Nitish Rana to Delhi Capitals (DC) for his current fee of Rs 4.2 crore, Donovan Ferreira, the wicketkeeper-batter from South Africa, returns to the franchise after being traded out by the latter for Rs 1 crore. “Donovan brings a mix of power-hitting and game awareness. He understands our environment and he fits the brand of cricket we want to play. We’re delighted to have him back. At the same time, we thank Nitish for his contributions and wish him the very best,” said Sangakkara. Ferreira’s return adds more power, flexibility, and finishing strength to RR’s batting options. “It feels great to return to a familiar environment. I’ve had a good chat with Kumar and I’m looking forward to playing my role for the Royals," said Ferreira. In a post on Truth Social, Trump said that Democrats were using the 'Epstein Hoax' to deflect people's attention from the shutdown. "Thank you, Mr. President," she wrote in a post on X that included a screenshot of Trump's request. Bondi later on Friday confirmed she would launch the investigation on Trump's orders, assigning Jay Clayton, the top prosecutor in New York's southern district, to lead the federal probe, CNN reported. For years, Trump has sought to downplay his ties to Jeffrey Epstein, the financier and convicted sex offender who for years moved in the same social circles as Trump in Palm Beach and Manhattan, as per CNN. Trump has alternately called Epstein a "terrific guy" in 2002 and later insisted he was "not a fan," saying the two men had a falling out long before Epstein faced his most serious legal troubles. But a new batch of emails from Epstein's estate, released this week by the House Oversight Committee, adds fresh detail to a relationship that has long been scrutinised. Earlier this year, after Bondi ordered the FBI to review Epstein files for release, Justice and FBI officials conducted another assessment and determined there were no additional prosecutions that could be brought based on the evidence at hand, according to law enforcement officials, as per CNN. The newly released messages do not highlight any new angle into Trump-Epstein relations, but bring to the fore new angles. Epstein's claim that Trump "spent hours" with a trafficking and rape victim inside his home, who House Republicans on Wednesday identified as the late Virginia Giuffre, one of Epstein's most prominent victims. Giuffre died by suicide in April. She never implicated Trump in any wrongdoing in her book or public comments. Epstein was referring to Trump in the 2011 email with his longtime associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, who was convicted of sex trafficking after Epstein's 2019 death. Epstein's assertion that Trump "knew about the girls" - seemingly in reference to Trump's claim that he kicked Epstein out of his Mar-a-Lago club for poaching young women who worked there. Epstein's blunt private assessments of Trump during his first term as President. "I told everyone from day one. evil beyond belief, mad," Epstein wrote of Trump in March 2018. The biggest spotlight was on Jadeja-Samson trade deal. While the all-rounder has been traded to the Rajasthan Royals, the wicketkeeper-batter will now represent the Chennai Super Kings. IPL 2026: Ravindra Jadeja, Sam Churran traded to RR Jadeja, who represented CSK for 12 seasons and played over 250 matches, is among the most experienced players in the league. Under the trade agreement, his league fee has been reduced from Rs 18 crore to Rs 14 crore, the IPL confirmed in a release on Saturday. England all-rounder Sam Curran will transfer from CSK to RR at his current IPL fee of Rs 2.4 crore after a successful trade. The 27-year-old has participated in 64 IPL matches.
