Israel allows Red Cross and Egyptian teams into Gaza as search for bodies of hostages widens

International teams searching for the bodies of hostages have been allowed to cross Israel's military boundary in Gaza, according to an Israeli government spokesperson. Hamas says it has expanded its search for the bodies of hostages in Gaza, a day after a team of Egyptian experts arrived to help retrieve them. The team is working with the Red Cross during the search. "Israel is aware that Hamas knows where our deceased hostages are, in fact, located. If Hamas made more of an effort,they would be able to retrieve the remains of our hostages," the government spokesperson said on Sunday. The military boundary, often referred to as the "yellow line", is a boundary for Israel Defence Forces (IDF) troops in Gaza, established by the ceasefire agreement. The fragile ceasefire, brokered by the US, relies on Hamas returning all the remains of Israeli hostages as soon as possible, but in the past five days, no bodies have been released. Read more: Revealed: The plan for a 'New Gaza' On Saturday, the Egyptian team arrived with an excavator and bulldozers to help search for bodies, as part of efforts by international mediators to make sure the ceasefire holds. The bodies of 13 hostages remain in Gaza, with Hamas chief Khalil al Hayya saying the group has started searching in new areas on Sunday morning. As part of the ceasefire deal, Israel agreed to give back 15 bodies of Palestinians for every body of a hostage. Israel has now sent back the bodies of 195 Palestinians, while Hamas has returned 15 bodies of hostages. US President Donald Trump warned he is "watching very closely" to ensure Hamas returns more bodies. "Some of the bodies are hard to reach, but others they can return now and, for some reason, they are not," he wrote on Truth Social. “Let’s see what they do over the next 48 hours. I am watching this very closely,” he said in his post on Saturday. Last week, Hayya told an Egyptian media outlet that efforts to retrieve the bodies faced challenges because of the massive destruction, burying them deep underground. On Saturday night, Israeli forces struck the central Nuseirat refugee camp in Gaza for the second time in a week, according to Awda Hospital. Islamic Jihad, the second largest militant group in Gaza, denied it was preparing for an attack. Hamas called the strike a "clear violation" of the ceasefire and accused Benjamin Netanyahu of attempting to sabotage President Trump's efforts to end the war. The strike on Saturday came hours after US secretary of state Marco Rubio left Israel. He was the latest in a series of White House officials to visit Israel and visit a new centre for civilian and military coordination that is attempting to oversee the ceasefire. US vice president JD Vance was in Israel earlier this week, as were American envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, the president’s son-in-law.

След трагичния инцидент в Ново место, където 48-годишен мъж загина в резултат на нападение, опозицията остро осъди събитията и обвини управляващата коалиция, съобщи словенската национална телевизия РТВ Сло, цитирана от БТА. Лидерът на най-голямата опозиционна Словенска демократическа партия (СДС) Янез Янша призова за свикване на извънредно заседание на парламента и обяви протест в деня на извънредната сесия в Любляна. Вчера 48-годишен мъж бе пребит пред бар от група членове на ромската общност. Към момента полицията е арестувала само един заподозрян. Смята се, че е завърнал се бежанец. Неофициално се смята, че той е единственият, който е нападнал мъжа, но полицията разследва и възможността някой друг да е замесен в нападението. „Премиерът Роберт Голоб и неговата коалиция са косвено отговорни за тази смърт", написа партията в профила си в социалната мрежа Екс, където изрази съболезнованията си на близките и приятелите на починалия. Според тях премиерът постоянно е подкрепял „некомпетентния министър на вътрешните работи Бощян Поклукар и некомпетентния министър на правосъдието Андрея Катич" в невежеството им по ромския въпрос и използването на двойни стандарти. „Той не се вслуша в предупрежденията на засегнатите хора, нито на кметовете, нито на опозицията", добавиха те. От СДС приписват отговорност за събитието в Ново место на „лявата политика или политиката на установяване на двойни стандарти, на съдебната система и прокуратурата за използване на двойни стандарти при санкциониране на престъпни деяния срещу роми, и на министъра на вътрешните работи и полицейското ръководство за омаловажаване на сериозни предупреждения и признаци за влошаване на ситуацията със сигурността". Единственият достоен ход, който премиерът Голоб може да направи, според тях, е незабавната му оставка. „В противен случай протестите в Ново место няма да са достатъчни, ще трябва да отидем в Любляна. Време е за отговорност, ред и спазване на закона за всички", заключиха те. Президентът на СДС Янез Янша обяви в мрежата Екс, че ще свика извънредна сесия на парламента, на която ще поискат незабавното приемане на четири закона, внесени от кметовете, приемането на мерки за премахване на двойните стандарти при справянето с престъпленията срещу ромите и „отговорността на всички, които досега са си заравяли главите в пясъка". Янша написа, че ще обяви протест пред парламента в деня на извънредната сесия, като по този начин партията ще помогне на депутатите от опозиционните СДС и Нова Словения „да убедят левичарите, които досега са използвали машини за гласуване, за да предотвратят ефективни действия". Днес министърът на правосъдието и министърът на вътрешните работи на Словения Андрея Катич и Бощян Поклукар подадоха оставките си, като поеха "обективна отговорност" за инцидента в Ново место. Словенският президент Наташа Пирц Мусар осъди днес убийството на мъжа, като също призова за свикване на извънредно заседание на парламента. The Colorado football team reached a new low with a 53-7 loss to Utah in Week 9. Head coach Deion Sanders believes the result was the worst beating of his career and the worst of his adult life. The Buffaloes entered the game as 14-point underdogs but never came close to threatening Utah with a potential upset. After being visibly frustrated on the sideline all game, Sanders frustratingly compared the loss to being “whooped by his mama as a kid” after the fact. “This is bad,” Sanders said after the game, via ESPN. “This is probably the worst beating I’ve ever had except when my mama whooped me as a kid… Sometimes you’re just dumbfounded, man. You just look at this day and say, ‘Wow, what happened?'” Colorado managed just 140 yards of total offense, including just 102 passing yards. It was another tough night in the office for Kaidon Salter, who went just 9-for-22 for 37 passing yards and one interception. Conversely, Utah got virtually whatever it wanted on offense. The Utes racked up 587 yards of total offense, 422 coming on the ground. They had two players top 100 rushing yards in the game, with Byrd Ficklin notching 151 yards and Wayshawn Parker adding 145. The Buffaloes did not reach the end zone until the fourth quarter, when backup quarterback Ryan Staub punched in a one-yard touchdown to avoid the shutout. Utah simply proved to be on another level and overwhelmed the Buffaloes from the jump. Sanders took full blame for the loss and admitted that he was out-coached by Kyle Whittingham. They will need to win three of their final four games to become bowl-eligible for the second consecutive season. Colorado returns home in Week 10 for its homecoming game against Arizona in Week 10. The Buffaloes end the season with winnable matchups against West Virginia, Arizona State and Kansas State.
