Kieran Foran Unveils True Motivation Behind Manly Reunion and Future Coaching Aspirations

Former Gold Coast Titans standout Kieran Foran has expressed his ambition to eventually take on the role of head coach at an NRL club. Foran is set to hang up his boots following this year’s Pacific Championships, where he will lead New Zealand in their Pacific Cup matchup against Tonga on Sunday. The Kiwis are gearing up for a potential showdown with Samoa in the final. Initially, many believed the 35-year-old would remain with the Titans in a coaching role. However, Foran recently surprised the NRL community by announcing his return to Manly, where he launched his professional career. “It’s really special,” Foran, this year’s recipient of the Ken Stephen Medal, shared with The Daily Telegraph. “I spent the majority of my career at Manly, playing nearly 200 games and winning a premiership there,” he reflected. “I’ve maintained close and meaningful ties with the club for many years. I’m incredibly grateful for the chance to return and embark on the next chapter of my life, which is my journey into coaching.” Across two stints at the club, Foran has made 196 appearances for the Sea Eagles across two spells at the club, notably winning a premiership with the side in 2011. But after a stellar career on the footy pitch, the 300-gamer is now plotting out his future coaching career, but insists he is not in a hurry to rise to the top, adding he has a lot to learn first. ‘I’ve certainly got aspirations to coach,’ Foran said. ‘What I will say is I’m not in any rush to become a head coach. I want to do a proper apprenticeship and I feel it’s a wonderful opportunity to go and do that back at Manly under Anthony. ‘He’s the sort of guy and coach I probably haven’t had throughout my career. I think I’ll be able to learn and grow a hell of a lot from him. ‘To be able to do it back at Manly with familiar people is a wonderful opportunity.’ Foran’s story is an inspiring one with the footy player having overcome several serious injuries during his career and a breakdown in a former relationship. It was a dark time in his life, with the former Manly and Parramatta star excessively drinking and gambling as a coping mechanism, before, as he puts it, going down a ‘slippery slope’. He struggled with his mental health and contemplated taking his own life. Obsessed with rugby league, Foran admitted that not being on the pitch was difficult, adding that during his glittering career he underwent a whopping 17 surgeries. But it was his new partner Karina who helped him. ‘Karina has been the steady soul I needed. She met me at a dark time in my life, and I was warts-and-all about where I wanted to be [in terms of personal growth],’ he told Daily Mail in September. Foran has gone on to do some inspiring work, becoming a mental health awareness advocate, setting up a foundation called Logan’s Legacy, a charity which was named after his wife Karina’s late son who died by suicide in 2023. The foundation aims to offer mental health prevention and intervention support to those who need it. Foran had played his junior rugby for Auckland before his family moved to Australia. His dad is interestingly Greg Foran, the former CEO of Walmart and the chief executive of Air New Zealand. Kieran would later go on to represent the Australia Schoolboys in 2007. He’d also play for the North Sydney Bears before putting pen to paper on a deal to join the Sea Eagles The Auckland-born halfback also reflected on what his homecoming means, Foran said: ‘People always see me as a Manly player. ‘But since coming to the Gold Coast I’ve also been viewed as a Titans player and that’s what made the decision really hard. ‘At the end of the day, you’ve got to put family first and do what feels right in your heart. ‘When the opportunity arose and Anthony reached out, it just ticked all the boxes. It felt like a really good fit.’ Call Lifeline on 13 11 14 Call Beyond Blue on 1300 22 4636 Call the suicide Call Back Service on 1300 659 467 Call Mindspot on 1800 61 44 34 Call MensLine Australia on 1300 78 99 78

Afghan asylum seeker sexually assaulted two women as he delivered takeaways to their homes despite ruling he had overstayed in UK

An asylum seeker who had overstayed his right to be in the UK sexually assaulted two women while he delivered takeaways to their homes. Shafiullah Rasooli, 29, was working illegally when he used his friend's registration details to deliver food to people in and around the town of Maidstone, Kent. A court heard that on July 26 and July 3 this year he touched the breasts of two of his customers and ran his hands over their upper bodies. Rasooli, who is originally from Afghanistan, was later identified and charged with three counts of sexual assault, two of which were against the same victim. He denied the allegations, claiming that 'hugging to the side' was a common method of saying goodbye in his home country. However, the 29-year-old was found guilty of all the charges at Sevenoaks Magistrates' Court on October 1. Terry Knox, prosecuting, told the hearing: 'He's an immigration overstayer and now his application to stay [longer] has now been formally rejected. 'He came to [one victim's] address and she recognised him from [delivering food] two weeks earlier. 'He then steps over the threshold of the door, so the assault happened in her own home. 'He had one foot in the door and one foot outside, and they had a conversation about her cat, and he said he could take the cat home. 'He then asked her her name and age and told her she looks young for her age, and then he gestures to the sofa and says to her, "No boyfriend or friends [at home]". 'She lies and indicates to him yes...and she was scared and unsettled as he gives her the bags [for delivery] and at that point he runs his hands down her body, down her breasts and [upper] body and was smiling as he did so.' Mr Knox then told the court that the woman said the second sexual assault was carried out in a similar manner. Speaking of the attack on the other woman, the prosecutor continued: 'He was at the [second] woman's door and asked her her date of birth and said he was surprised at her age. 'He then steps over the threshold into her porch and lifted his arm over her shoulder and holds her right breast and does a tapping motion [on it]. 'She froze, but didn't want to show panic, and he said he was a Muslim and didn't drink alcohol and had a bottle of wine in the vehicle from a previous delivery and would she like a free bottle. 'She said no, but he repeats [the offer] and so she says, "go on then" to get him to leave.' The court heard Rasooli then went back to to his vehicle to get the bottle of wine, before he held the woman's shoulder and breast for a second time. Mr Knox added: 'He then grabs her phone and enters his own contact details into it and says he hopes to see her soon and he called her two days later, twice, but she didn't answer.' The court heard the woman had become paranoid after the incident and had installed CCTV and security lights at her property. She has also become unable to hold down her job as she couldn't sleep due to worries he would return. The woman said: 'This [my house] used to be my safe place, but he knows where my home is and what my phone number is.' Mr Knox told the court that Rasooli was remanded in custody in August because his immigration status was an overstayer. But the prosecutor said at that stage he didn't know whether Rasooli would be detained by immigration authorities if he was released. Mr Knox added: 'He's been on remand as he had no [real] residence to go to.' The court ordered that Rasooli would be kept in custody until a pre-sentencing report was completed. However, when the sex offender appeared at Margate Magistrates' Court on October 21, the hearing was told this would not be done until December 3 at the earliest. Magistrates then said they wanted to send the case to Canterbury Crown Court for sentencing and Rasooli was remanded in custody until then. A date for that hearing is yet to be fixed.

NHS random blood testing in A&Es uncovers shocking numbers with undiagnosed HIV

Thousands of people are living with undiagnosed diseases such as HIV, routine blood testing in A&Es has found. An NHS initiative to routinely conduct blood tests on people who turn up on emergency wards has found over 4,000 people living with undiagnosed hepatitis B and C, which can lead to liver cirrhosis. The UK Health Security Association has published the results of its bloodborne virus (BBV) testing programme at 34 A&Es in areas of highest HIV prevalence. It is part of a Government drive to end new HIV transmissions by 2030. One in every 2,000 people tested had HIV and half of these had late-stage disease. Public Health Minister Ashley Dalton said: “This groundbreaking programme continues to be a huge success, identifying infections that would otherwise have gone undiagnosed. By making testing a routine part of emergency care, we're connecting patients with lifesaving treatment earlier and helping to protect the wider community. “It also helps us in our goal to end new HIV transmissions by 2030, which depends on better access to testing and treatment. Every new or untreated diagnosis we identify represents someone who can now get the care they need.” HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) is a virus that attacks the body's immune system. Without treatment, it can lead to AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome). There is currently no effective cure. The NHS says that once people get HIV, they have it for life, but proper medical care can control the virus. Hepatitis attacks the liver and can lead to cirrhosis and liver cancer. One in 240 people tested was found to have hepatitis B while one in 1,276 people tested had hepatitis C. The BBV programme saw A&E patients automatically tested for HIV, hepatitis B, and hepatitis C unless they opted out. Some 70% of eligible people agreed to be tested. In the first 33 months of the scheme the following infections were identified in patients who were then offered life saving treatment: Dr Claire Fuller, NHS England medical director, said: “The rollout of blood-borne virus testing in NHS emergency departments has been a gamechanger for the early detection of HIV and viral hepatitis – enabling thousands more people to get access to life-saving treatments, which prevent long-term health issues and reduce the chance of passing the viruses on to others.” Dr Sema Mandal, Consultant Epidemiologist and deputy director at the UKHSA, said: "The pioneering NHS opt-out testing programme in emergency departments is helping us reach thousands of people who did not know they were living with HIV, hepatitis B or hepatitis C. Many of these individuals might never have been tested otherwise – missing the chance to access life-saving treatment. "What we're seeing is a clear and urgent need to do more to tackle these serious infections. The high number of new diagnoses across all three conditions shows just how many people are living with undiagnosed bloodborne viruses. “We must improve awareness, expand testing and diagnosis and ensure people are supported into care and treatment. Early diagnosis can help prevent years of ill health and save thousands of lives."

Major travel warning as Brits hit with £187 'hidden' charge in Turkey READ MORE: Tourists issued warning over hidden £300 charge in popular European holiday destination as people call it 'disgusting' By ERIN DEBORAH WAKS, TRAVEL WRITER Published: 11:18 GMT, 29 October 2025 | Updated: 11:20 GMT, 29 October 2025 A major travel warning has been issued as Brits have been hit with a £187 'hidden' charge in a winter sun hotspot. As UK travellers are seeking warmer temperatures while ours plumet, plenty of sunnier destinations are becoming popular. But those heading overseas should be careful - no one wants a nasty surprise when they arrive back home. Turkey is a popular destination among Brits - in fact, it is predicted to welcome a record 4.8 million UK visitors this year. But new data has revealed 63 per cent of Brits do not know that Turkey isn't in the EU - which risks them being caught out by hefty data roaming charges. Nearly three-quarters (74 per cent) had been hit by unexpected data roaming charges when travelling abroad, research involving 2,000 Brits found. These unplanned bills for visiting destinations such as Turkey now stand at a whopping £187.30 for the average Brit, driving up the cost of visiting places outside the EU. Jenna Banks, spokesperson for Slice Mobile, which commissioned the research, said: 'It's easy to get wrapped up in the excitement of your trip and before you know it, you've clocked up big bills for international roaming. A major travel warning has been issued as Brits have been hit with a £187 'hidden' charge in Turkey 'A picture here, a scroll on TikTok there - it's all big data and when you're outside the EU, big data costs.' Jenna added that it is an easy mistake to make. She went on to say: 'It's easy to think you're not using your data when you're on holiday and using the hotel Wi-Fi but step too far away from the signal and your phone will quickly switch to your data plan to provide you with the best user experience. 'Just loading up maps to find that perfect restaurant or posting a picture on Instagram can have big implications for your bill back home. However, Jenna has shared an easy method to avoid Turkey's hidden charges. She explains: 'There is an easy hack though: before you jump on your flight, make sure you're with a provider like Slice Mobile, which offers great value international roaming add ons for countries outside the EU, such as Turkey and America. 'It means instead of paying by the day while you're out there, you could bring your international roaming charges down from £187 to as little as £4 (for 1GB of data) for your trip and still be able to go online on the go. 'So, whether you're heading out to get a fresh new look or just going for a relaxing holiday, always check you have the right data plan in place for your trip and get an international roaming package before you travel.' New data has revealed 63 per cent of Brits do not know that Turkey isn't in the EU - which risks them being caught out by hefty data roaming charges It's not the first time travellers have been warned of phone-related factors racking up holiday costs. Georgia Brivida, of international SIM provider Sim Local, in June urged Brits to switch off the 'autoplay' feature on their phones before boarding their next flight. The setting, she says, could quietly drain data and rack up a significant phone bill - often without users even realising it. She explained: 'Autoplay is a feature that automatically plays videos as you scroll through apps like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube, often without you even tapping play.' The Celebrity Traitors meltdown you DIDN'T see: How star branded Jonathan Ross a 'f***ing snake' and lashed out at BBC cast members in EXPLOSIVE behind-the-scenes rant

Celebrity Traitors star Ruth Codd 'lashed out' and called Jonathan Ross a 'f***ing snake' after being murdered during a behind-the-scenes meltdown. Sources on the show revealed to the Daily Mail that the Irish actress, 29, was 'furious' after being eliminated early in the series and took out her anger on presenter Jonathan, 64, whom she correctly guessed was a Traitor before he took his revenge. An insider explained that Ruth was genuinely 'angry' and described it as a 'f***ing joke' that she had been cast out in the early stages of the competition. Ruth, known for her roles in Netflix series The Midnight Club and The Fall of the House of Usher, became the third contestant to leave after calling out Jonathan as her top suspect during the roundtable. She was sent packing following the elimination of singer Paloma Faith by her ex close friend Alan Carr and his accomplice, Cat Burns, as well as Olympic diver Tom Daley. It comes after Ruth said there was an 'unspoken hierarchy' on the show that 'placed certain people, like myself, at a disadvantage' because, unlike some showbiz veterans such as Jonathan, she hasn't been in the industry very long. A TV insider revealed: 'Ruth was furious after she was murdered during the early stages of filming. 'She called Jonathan a "f***ing snake" and really let go of her anger behind the scenes. 'There was definitely frustration from Ruth that her co-stars weren't listening to her after she correctly identified Jonathan as a Traitor. 'Ruth felt that not many of the celebrities were following their own instincts and minds, which meant the game wasn't always played properly. 'It was a shame for her to be murdered so early in the competition when she had a lot more to give.' Ruth, who had her leg amputated aged 23 after suffering years of pain following a broken leg sustained while playing football, said she enjoyed competing with Clare Balding because 'she knows her own mind'. So far on the show, which returns on Wednesday evening, not one Traitor has been eliminated by the cast, with many viewers believing the celebrities have avoided voting off Jonathan due to his status. The Daily Mail has contacted a Celebrity Traitors spokesperson for comment. Traitor Alan risked his friendship with Paloma by murdering her first in the game, despite their closeness in real life. Paloma, who last week revealed she is expecting her third baby, has expressed her shock and upset on social media since the scenes aired. In his latest podcast episode, Alan explained how he and Paloma are no longer friends. Speaking to Norman Cook, aka Fatboy Slim, he said: 'Well, I'm a Traitor init and I'm killing people willy nilly. I've got a real taste for it. 'It's out on the telly now, I had to keep it secret for months, and I am killing people, I've killed Paloma Faith, Tom Daley, I can't stop killing.' When Norman questioned him, 'Aren't you mates with Paloma?' he replied: 'She's not happy about it. There's been a few, lets say, TikTok things where she says I've let her down because I killed her in plain sight. 'I was desperate and she went if you were a real friend you wouldn't have killed me. But I said I'm the Traitor, the show's called the Traitors. 'It's like going on Naked Attraction and being told, "what I have to take my knickers off?" You know, it does what it says on the tin.' Jonathan has also spoken out about how he found being a Traitor and lying to his co-stars' faces challenging to navigate. He said he has even warned other celebrity friends against appearing in a second series, due to how difficult he found the experience. Jonathan explained: 'I know they're already planning a second celebrity version. 'I know because I've had two celebrity friends of mine call me and say "I've been approached, is it good to do, it is bad to do?" So I'm giving them the benefit of my experience, which was I didn't enjoy it.

Controversy Unveiled: The Met’s Alleged Sale of Nazi-Looted van Gogh Painting Sparks Outrage

The Metropolitan Museum of Art finds itself embroiled in a legal battle as an heir of a wealthy Jewish couple seeks the return of a Vincent van Gogh painting, allegedly seized by Nazis at the onset of World War II. Judith Anne Silver, the heir, has filed a lawsuit against both the Met and the Basil & Elise Goulandris Foundation. She contends that the institutions have neglected to acknowledge the painting’s troubled past and insists it should be returned to her family. The legal action, initiated in the Federal District Court in Manhattan, also demands compensation exceeding $75,000 for the painting’s wrongful detention, alongside its market value, legal costs, and punitive damages. The artwork in question, “Olive Picking,” was created by the renowned Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh in 1889. It captures the essence of van Gogh’s post-impressionist style, depicting three women harvesting olives, two of whom are perched on a ladder amid a verdant tree. Throughout the decades, “Olive Picking” has passed through various hands. It was once owned by Fritz and Hedwig Stern, a Jewish couple residing in Munich, Germany. They acquired the painting in 1935 but were forced to relinquish it in December 1936, as the political climate intensified. Olive Picking was owned by Fritz and Hedwig Stern, a Jewish couple who lived in Munich, Germany, until December 1936, a year after they purchased it. The Sterns were forced to flee the country with their six children to save themselves from the Holocaust, and the Nazi government declared the precious painting as ‘German cultural property.’ Even though the Sterns had intended to take the painting with them, the Nazis prohibited them and said they would sell it on their behalf, according to the lawsuit. After the painting was sold, the funds were put in a ‘blocked account’ and later confiscated by the Nazis, so the Sterns claim to have never seen the van Gogh again. ‘In the decades since the end of World War II, this Nazi-looted painting has been repeatedly and secretly trafficked, purchased and sold in and through New York,’ the complaint read. The painting traveled to various locations after the war, first to Berlin and then to the US. An art dealer named Justin Thannhauser had tracked the painting’s movements and acquired it to sell to New York socialites. Vincent Astor, the infamous Manhattan businessman whose father died on the Titanic, purchased the painting from Thannhauser in 1948. Vincent’s wife, Brooke, served on the Met’s Board of Trustees from 1964 to 1983, according to the complaint. The Sterns had no idea the painting was in New York, and continued to pursue official claims in Germany until 1955 to get their prized possession back. The Astors then cosigned the sale of the painting to the Knoedler Gallery that same year. In 1956, the Met acquired the painting from the gallery. The Met’s Curator for European Paintings at the time, Theodore Rousseau, Jr, approved the purchase for $125,000, according to the complaint. The complaint alleges that Rousseau neglected to recognize that Nazis likely looted the painting. Silver’s lawyers argued that Rousseau was ‘one of the world’s foremost experts on Nazi art looting,’ citing his tenure as a Lieutenant Commander in the US Navy during the war. He also personally curated the Met’s van Gogh exhibition, which included 158 paintings by the artist. Rousseau had served in the Office of Strategic Services during the war, where he authored a report for the Art Looting Investigation Unit. The lawsuit stated that Rousseau was only one of three American officers working for the elite ALICU. The museum then took steps to sell the painting in 1972, which the lawsuit alleges is, ‘further evidence that they knew or should have known that the painting had probably been looted by the Nazis.’ The Met sold the painting to Basil and Elise Goulandris, wealthy Greek immigrants in the New York shipping industry. ‘Since acquiring the painting in 1972, through a series of transfers, the Goulandris family and its related entities have hidden and obscured the Painting’s ownership and location from Plaintiff,’ the lawsuit alleges. Olive Picking still hangs in the Basil and Elise Goulandris Foundation museum in Athens, Greece. ‘To this day, the Goulandris Defendants continue to conceal how and when the BEG came into possession of the Painting; the Stern family’s ownership of the painting from 1935 to 1938; and the facts that the Nazis looted the painting from the Stern family, coerced the Sterns into selling it via a Nazi-appointed agent, and confiscated the proceeds of the sale,’ the lawsuit claims. In a statement to the New York Times about the complaint, the Met said: ‘While the Met respectfully stands by its position that this work entered the collection and was deaccessioned legally and well within all guidelines and policies, the museum welcomes and will consider any new information that comes to light.’ The Met also denied the allegations that Olive Picking was sold because of speculation that it was tied to Nazi looting. The museum said it was sold because it ‘was deemed to be of lesser quality than other works of the same type in the collection.’ The Daily Mail has approached the Met and the Basil & Elise Goulandris Foundation.

Bayern Munich star called Florian Wirtz about Liverpool struggles as 'doubt' claim made

Joshua Kimmich has shared that he has contacted Florian Wirtz as his Germany team-mate continues to experience a turbulent beginning to his Liverpool career. The Reds saw off competition from the likes of Bayern Munich and Man City to secure the playmaker from Bayer Leverkusen in a transfer worth up to £116m this summer. Yet, with Arne Slot's squad battling poor form, the 22-year-old has failed to live up to his substantial transfer fee. The defending Premier League champions have suffered defeat in five of their previous six fixtures across all competitions and currently sit seven points behind league-toppers Arsenal . Meanwhile, Wirtz has yet to record a goal contribution in the English top-flight, reports the Liverpool Echo . Having made 13 appearances for Liverpool across all competitions so far, he managed an assist on his bow in the Community Shield against Crystal Palace but had to wait until last week's 5-1 demolition of Eintracht Frankfurt to enhance his return. Wirtz found himself relegated to the substitutes' bench for recent Premier League encounters with Everton , Chelsea and Manchester United and has predictably faced criticism for his underwhelming performances since arriving at Anfield. However, Germany captain Kimmich has rushed to defend his fellow countryman, as he disclosed that he recently held a telephone conversation with the midfielder following his mixed start in England and offered his guidance to Wirtz. "I've contacted him," he told Welt Am Sonntag, as quoted by BILD . "But there's absolutely no reason for him to doubt himself. "Flo has the perfect blend of quality and mentality that will always lead you to the top as a player in the long run. "He has to remain patient and, of course, is also dependent on his team." Kimmich had previously expressed his regret that Bayern had not secured Wirtz's signature. "He will have his reasons for making this decision," he admitted back in June. "I hope it's the right path for him. "As a Bayern player, I would have naturally wanted him to come to us." Join our new WhatsApp community and receive your daily dose of Mirror Football content. Matt Damon Had To Record The Best Part Of This Oscar-Nominated Performance Alone

This isn't the first time Damon has played a scientist stranded on an unknown planet, as he also played the treacherous Dr. Mann in "Interstellar." However, these roles are significantly different, as Watney's altruistic outlook is in stark contrast with Mann's nihilistic view on humanity, and these differences directly influence their eventual fates. While Mann's narrow-minded selfishness dooms him, Watney's faith in humanity pushes him to achieve the impossible, including the fact that he manages to grow potatoes on Martian soil. Moreover, the failed Mars mission leaves us completely alone with Watney for extended sequences, which are used to painstakingly document his game plan for survival. Video logs are used to take note of every triumph and failure, where Watney uses a mix of technical jargon and easy-to-understand metaphors to convey the complexity of the situation at hand. Some of the science might feel a bit inaccessible at times, but Watney's enthusiasm shines through and makes his efforts feel deeply human. So when Watney makes use of a convoluted hexadecimal system to contact NASA, we are not too caught up in the science, as the focus is on the human responses, which underline how we tend to react as a species when asked to take accountability for our unintended actions. None of these emotional aspects would've been as prominent without Damon's measured performance as Watney, who uses wit, humor, and vulnerability to push through acute loneliness. He is able to endure such misery because he hopes to be reunited with his loved ones on Earth someday, which fuels his decision to do everything he can to survive. Seeing his crew take major risks and return just for his sake has a major emotional effect on him — in this moment, he knows that he's in good hands, and that they will make sure that he comes home.

Sudanese migrant with 'mature skin and set lines' wins £40k battle with council after they wrongly judged him to be 30 when he was only 17

A Sudanese migrant has won a £40,000 battle with the council after British authorities wrongly judged him to be 30 when he was only 17. Age assessment workers at Luton Borough Council refused to believe the migrant was a teenager when he arrived in Britain because of his physical appearance, an asylum court heard. They said he couldn't have just turned 17 because of his 'mature skin' and 'set lines' in his forehead. One social worker from the council concluded he looked 25 to 30, and he was moved into adult accommodation. Now the immigration court has ruled he was in fact 17, the age he stated when he entered the UK. The council has been ordered to pay £40,000 in legal costs for the Sudanese migrant and must continue to provide support for him. The Sudanese national, named only as DD, arrived in the UK in February 2024 and claimed to be from West Darfur - a war-torn region of the country. He said he was born in February 2007 and is the eldest of six children, with his education being disrupted by poverty and conflict. After his mother organised him to flee, he claimed he was tortured for 20 days during his journey through North Africa. A judge stated that if DD's account is correct, then he 'has suffered significant trauma and hardship for a 16-year-old'. After saying he had just turned 17, he was taken into the care of Luton Borough Council. A social worker assessment judged him as being 25 to 30-years-old. He was later assigned an age of 25 and moved into adult accommodation - but challenged the decision. A medical assessment found him to be the average weight and height for his claimed age. It was also found he had suffered nightmares and disturbed sleep - meaning a fellow migrant would not share a tent with him. He also was diagnosed with PTSD. DD, who is a practising Muslim, said his roommate in the adult accommodation 'did not like Muslims' and so he was scared to practice. However, when his roommate overdosed he alerted the staff so they could transfer him to hospital. At a hearing in the Upper Tribunal of the Immigration and Asylum Chamber, a Sudanese expert analysed DD's documents and acknowledged there may be a market for fake proof of age documents, but did not believe DD's were not real. An assessment of physical appearance said it was unclear whether he had not started shaving or if he had started very recently. He was also considered to have 'mature skin with dark patches around his mouth and chin and faint but set lines across his forehead'. However, Upper Tribunal Judge Joe Neville said his experiences and evidence were consistent with a 17-year-old. Despite saying his evidence was not entirely consistent, Judge Neville accepted DD's date of birth is 2007. He ordered the previous age assessment to be quashed and that Luton Borough Council should pay DD's £40,000 legal costs within 21 days. Judge Joe Neville said: 'If DD's account of his experiences and age are both correct, then he has suffered significant trauma and hardship for a 16-year-old. 'His age and understanding will also mean that he cannot be expected to give the same level of detail and consistency as an adult. 'Whatever his true age, and even if his experiences have been exaggerated, the hardships inherent in any young person's flight and journey from Sudan to Europe will have likely had a very significant effect on both his recollection and his behaviour when dealing with authority figures. 'If you met DD and were told he was between 18 and 22, you wouldn't think twice. But if you were told he was 26, you'd probably do a double take. If you were told he was 31 you would be very surprised indeed. 'I accept DD's claimed date of birth of 3 February 2007, and find that on the date of the age assessment he was 17 years old. 'While very little significance can be placed on his appearance and demeanour, it is not inconsistent with that conclusion.

Expert reveals the meaning behind the '3-2-1' rule at Disney World - and why you should always use it READ MORE: Budget airline relaunches unlimited flights scheme – here's how to save money (and the risks) By ALESIA FIDDLER - TRAVEL REPORTER Published: 11:12 GMT, 29 October 2025 | Updated: 11:14 GMT, 29 October 2025 A trip to Disney World often means planning lots of elements - from what rides to go on, to meal plans, parades and firework displays. Thankfully, a travel expert has explained an effective way of planning a trip to the popular resort known as 'the most magical place on Earth'. The '3-2-1' rule helps holidaymakers make the most out of their visit to the busy parks. Ashleigh Giliberto, @travels_with_ap on TikTok, describes herself as a 'Walt Disney World and Universal Studios fanatic'. She shared a video explaining the '3-2-1' method and outlined exactly what it means. With the technique, Disney fans choose three rides, two entertainment attractions and one dining experience. The parks can often be busy, with long queues and an overwhelming amount of choice so the method can help simplify things for families. Ashleigh said: 'The three rides that you have to do per park, per day with your family, pick them. Strategise, figure it out.' A trip to Disney World often means planning lots of elements - from what rides to go on, to meal plans, parades and firework displays The Disney expert gave several examples of what entertainment options visitors could choose from. She added: 'Two - what two entertainment type attractions do you guys want to hit while you're there? 'Is it a parade? Is it seeing Happily Ever After? Is it meeting a specific character?' For number one, Ashleigh urged guests to decide on where they want to eat when they visit. She explained: 'And one, pick one dining option that you guys are dying to do. Is it a character dining? Is it a festival food that you have to get? 'Figure those three things out; three rides, two entertainment attractions, one food, to make sure that you guys can check those boxes that you want while you're at Disney World.' According to Reader's Digest, the '3-2-1' model started out as a business suggestion from Disney CEO Bob Iger. The method states approval chains shouldn't involve more than three individuals, it should only take up to two weeks for decisions to be made, and one person should take accountability. Thankfully, a travel expert has explained an effective way of planning a trip to the popular resort known as 'the most magical place on Earth' Ashleigh's video attracted hundreds of comments from Disney fans who hoped to try out the method. One penned: 'We are taking my kids for the first time this summer and I’m so overwhelmed!' Another added: 'This is such a good idea!' Someone else said: 'Love that rule! Thank you for sharing the rule.' EarthTikTok Share or comment on this article: Expert reveals the meaning behind the '3-2-1' rule at Disney World - and why you should always use it Add comment

Email tips@dailymail.co.uk By LAURA PARKIN, SHOWBUSINESS REPORTER Published:11:09 GMT, 29 October 2025 |Updated:11:13 GMT, 29 October 2025 Channel 4's outrageous new comedy is finally set to hit screens after three years of delays. The show, which makes Spitting Image look tame, is a steamy fanfiction series named No Strings Attached. The series will now debut on E4 on November 11 and will be fronted by Bake Off's Mel Giedroyc. Each week a different star will read out a steamy story written about themselves by an amateur internet author, which will be brought to life by a series of puppets. In a first glimpse, lookalike puppets show Sam Thompson, Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffat, Melvin Odoom, Kerry Katona, Martin Kemp, and Coleen Nolan will be taking part. Comedian and host Mel said: 'This is going to be a celebration of erotic fan fiction. With puppets.' Channel 4's outrageous new comedy is finally set to hit screens after three years of delays The show, which makes Spitting Image look tame, is a steamy fanfiction series named No Strings Attached She added: 'Imagine a world where Jackie Collins meets Thunderbirds. I’m so looking forward to a trip to Love Island ... via Tracy Island.' Each of the six episodes will be a 'private book club' where both Mel and her guest will not be told in advance what the story will entail. Vivienne Molokwu, the programme’s commissioning editor, said: 'I’m very much looking forward to steamy storytime with Mel, a gang of celeb mates and a bunch of look alike puppets. 'This is a very Channel 4 way of encouraging creative writing, where artistic self-expression will be encouraged. 'We may well unearth the next E.L. James in the process, which has got to be a good thing.' Maia Liddell, from the show production company RDF Television, added: 'A passion project four years in the making, we’re really excited to be delving into the creative, intriguing and erotic world of fan fiction writing. 'We couldn’t have a more perfect host in Mel to take the guests, and us, on these thrilling adventures.' A source told The Sun back in 2023: 'Martin and Kerry have both agreed to take part in the Really Rude Puppet Show, along with Coleen Nolan, Sam Thompson and Melvin Odoom.' In a first glimpse, lookalike puppets show Sam Thompson (pictured), Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffat, Melvin Odoom, Kerry Katona, Martin Kemp, and Coleen Nolan will be taking part The series will now debut on E4 on November 11 and will be fronted by Bake Off's Mel Giedroyc (pictured this month) They added: 'They all jumped at the chance to get involved in the project which is turning out to be hilarious.' ITV's Spitting Image was created by British caricaturists Peter Fluck and Roger Law and was merciless in its depiction of the leading public figures of the day. The BAFTA and Emmy award-winning satirical television series originally ran for 18 series between 1984 and 1996 and was watched by over 15 million viewers. In 2020 it made a return to TV to (since disbanded UK streaming service) BritBox, achieving critical praise across the political divide. On official social media channels, Spitting Image content was massively popular with over 200 million views globally and three number one trending videos on YouTube. Three new one-off specials for ITV, alongside BritBox, also saw huge success on terrestrial television: with a 4.4 million audience in 2020 achieving ITV's highest Saturday night ratings at that time in four years. It returned with 12 episodes last month and shows Prince Harry depicted as a puppet, sat down with Paddington Bear, as well as Spitting Image's portrayal of Donald Trump at the White House.
