We are looking for a highly skilled individual to take on the role of Coordinator Development and Planning who will lead, support and develop a small team whilst also using their technical expertise to work on a diverse range of applications.We are looking for an individual whose experience has an emphasis on senior level town planning and ideally has worked in a local government environment.If this sounds like you, apply now!In this role, you will support the Development and Planning team by:Leading, mentoring and supporting a multi-disciplinary teamReviewing delegated reports for development applicationsOverseeing enforcement matters including show cause & enforcement noticesProviding legislative interpretation & advice across a number of Acts & Regulations relating to planning, plumbing and buildingEstablishing and maintaining positive stakeholder relationships and providing exceptional customer serviceTo Be Considered For This Opportunity, You Will NeedDegree qualification in Town Planning or equivalent disciplineHigh level computer literacy with experience with GIS, Microsoft Suite and Record Management programsQLD drivers’ licenseDemonstrated advanced knowledge and experience in interpreting and complying with relevant Planning, Building, Plumbing and Environment legislation.Demonstrated planning experience at a senior or principal level.Demonstrated ability to program, manage and deliver the active workloads of a planning unitDemonstrated ability to coordinate, develop and support a team of multi-disciplinary employees within a political environment to achieve required outcomes.Excellent report writing, presentation and networking skills, and the ability to coach a multi-disciplinary team to produce quality timely outputs.Demonstrated solutions focused outlook with a high desire to problem solve and create positive outcomes.Working For Central Highlands Region Has Its Benefits.We are a progressive region, committed in creating opportunities for all.
