Perform daily duties that assists warehouse production.What Your Impact Will BeEnforce Mattel Global Security Department Best Practices and adhere to US Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) program recommendationsRespond to all emergencies and take appropriate actionProtect the Distribution Center from theft, vandalism, fire and/or unauthorized accessPerform administrative data entry duties for inbound and outbound tractor trailers or vehiclesScreen people entering/exiting through the employee entrance/exit areas to ensure authorized entryReport security/safety incidents to Shift Supervisors or the Site Supervisor to ensure proper documentation and follow-upDrive a Mattel fleet vehicle or golf cart throughout the Mattel distribution center and satellite warehouse location (where applicable) to deter any type of activity that would negatively impact the businessProvide a high level of customer service to all Mattel employees, vendors, and visitors on propertyAdditional responsibilities may be requested based on business needs at your locationPerform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual inspections to maintain safety standardsLearn and understand distribution center policies and proceduresUnderstand and perform all duties of the security officer roleWhat We’re Looking ForOne or more years of experience working as a Security Officer in a corporate, warehouse, law enforcement, or military environment is preferredHigh school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.CPR certification desiredValid Driver’s License is required while employed as a Security Officer to drive Mattel fleet vehicles and fulfill the expectation of the job Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business policies, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals including detailed incident reports writingEffective verbal and written communication skillsAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, clients, customers, and the general public.Basic math skillsBasic computer knowledge – (Word, internet and email)Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization existsAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram or schedule formAbility to stand and walk for extended periods of timeAbility to lift and/or move up to 50 poundsMust be willing to rotate shifts based on business needMust have reliable transportation to and from the SBDCAbility to take initiative and make sound decisionsMust be able to properly respond in stressful situations and deescalate when neededWhat It’s Like To Work HereWe are a purpose driven company aiming to empower the next generation to explore the wonder of childhood and reach their full potential.
