2 fully funded PhD positions in 6G Wireless Communications and Machine Learning

Job Description

We are looking for two junior/senior researchers to participate in EU-funded projects related to 6G Wireless Communications and Machine Learning, leading to PhD dissertation in these areas.In the domain of 6G wireless communications, the PhD candidate will work on research topics related to the Radio Access Network (radio resource management, over-the-air computing, non orthogonal multiple access schemes) that will be validated on the existing 6G testbed of the University, based on srsRAN, Open5GS, Amarisoft.In the domain of Machine Learning, the PhD candidate will work on the development and testing of machine learning models, including multi-agent Reinforcement Learning, Deep Reinforcement Learning, Transformers, Kolmogorov-Arnold Networks that will be trained in MLOps platforms, such as Kubeflow, MLflow and validated on the existing cloud infrastructure of the University.The researchers will join our experienced research teams that will assist them on their research and development activities.Requirements & QualificationsBSc and MSc degrees in Computer Science or Electrical or Telecom Engineering.Advanced knowledge on telecommunication networks or/and machine learning principles.1-3 years of experience in Python or Java programming.Basic knowledge of virtualisation technologies (Kubernetes, OpenStack).
