Today ASCO Group is engaged in a broad range of development, engineering, manufacturing and assembly activities providing multidisciplinary subcontracting services to various markets and aerospace programs around the world.Asco operates from several locations, Belgium, Canada, Germany and USA, with a turnover exceeding 300 million euros.Asco produces over 2,500 assemblies every month and has the ambition to be a world leader in design and manufacture of high lift devices, complex mechanical assemblies and major functional components for the aerospace industry.Montana Aerospace AG is a highly-vertically integrated manufacturer and supplier of system components and complex assemblies for the aerospace, e-mobility and energy sectors with worldwide engineering and manufacturing operations has acquired 100% of the share of the Asco Group beginning of April 2022.For our Belgian plant we are looking for 2 Junior Engineers (stress and design).He/she will be responsible for the Design or Stress justification of aircraft structural parts and assemblies. This includes developing and detailing structural components and performing all relevant analysis to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory standards throughout the product lifecycle. This involves exploring novel design concepts, developing and validating advanced analysis techniques, and collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners of ASCO to drive continuous improvement and future-readiness of aircraft structures.Roles and Responsabilities :The Structural Design Engineer Role : product design & developmentPrepare and develop all necessary design data for structural parts and assemblies during various program stages.Conduct design trade studies, digital mock-ups (DMU), and detailed design work.Analyze GD&T concepts and ensure design solutions are integrated and optimized for manufacturability and cost.Manage product configuration in customer and ASCO PLM.Support review and sign-off of Drawings/Models for releaseThe Stress Engineer Role : stress analysis & validationPerform static, dynamic, fatigue, and damage tolerance stress analysis using finite element analysis (FEA) and manual calculations.Validate drawings and assemblies based on stress resistance to support design activities and product entry into service.Prepare and review stress notes, reports, and method documentation.Participate in the development and validation of stress tools and calculation methods. General key accountabilities Non-Conformities & Continuous ImprovementInvestigate and resolve non-conformities in both design and production, approving or disposing of non-conforming products.Participate in concurrent engineering activities and meetings to support cost, quality, and manufacturability objectives.Continuously monitor and integrate feedback from the manufacturing environment.Support and the lessons learned process and the knowledge capture by compiling handbooks chapters ProjectOrganize his activities to ensure deliverables are provided according to schedule.Participate in customer and internal project review meetings.Technical review of subcontracted work packages.Profile, knowledge and experienceEducation: Master of Science in Aeronautical Engineering or equivalentLanguage: Fluent in English. Knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a plusSkills / Experience:Preferably 1 to 3 years of experience of aeronautical engineering.Strong analytical and reporting skills.Creative and critical thinkerGood knowledge MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Precise, responsible, and quality-oriented with a focus on airworthiness.Team player with initiative, autonomy, and effective communication skills.Good understanding of mechanical machining and assemblyTolerance & GD&T basic knowledge and understanding.Basic knowledge of Catia V5 or of finite element software is an advantage.Our Offer:Asco offers a position in an innovative high-tech environment, using cutting-edge technologies, with a unique training policy and opportunities to develop yourself.
