The salary will be prorated based on FTE. Required Qualifications And ExperienceThe successful applicant will have the following qualifications and experience:A certificate of qualification from the Teacher Regulation BranchDemonstrated experience and qualifications as outlined by the Ministry of Education English Language Learning Policy and GuidelinesUniversity level coursework (300-400 level) in applied linguistics for English Language Learners and/or teaching certification for teaching ELLDemonstrated success in working collaboratively with classroom teachers and specialistsCurrent knowledge of best practices for supporting ELL learners in the classroomInclusive Pedagogy: Familiarity with inclusive pedagogy and a commitment to creating an inclusive learning environmentCultural Competence: Awareness of cultural differences and the ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly.Differentiated Instruction: Ability to tailor instruction to meet the diverse needs of ELL students.Assessment Strategies: Knowledge of formative and summative assessment techniques for ELLs.Collaboration Skills: Willingness to work with other educators, parents, and support staff to address student needs. This District ELL position will be assigned to Irwin Park Elementary; however, ELL positions are district-based positions and the location may be changed subject to operational and student needs.
