Product OwnerThe Product Owner is a strategic leader responsible for shaping and driving the vision, road map, and execution of high-impact internal platforms that power our core business operations. This role requires strong cross-functional collaboration, effective communication across all levels of the organisation, and a relentless focus on delivering business value. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and able to translate strategic goals into actionable product outcomes. U. S. business hour overlap is required. Product Owners are subject-matter experts who use their technical knowledge to bridge the gap between product and technical aspects of product development.
They collaborate closely with designers, developers, and other stakeholders to make product managers’ ideas a reality. They bring life to a product by implementing the vision and direction set forth in the product road-map. Product Owners have deep knowledge of both the business and technical aspects and functions of their products. They know how a product's capabilities fit into the overall company plan and are experts in a product’s unique features. Product Owner is ultimately responsible for insuring the “right” product gets built. Product Owners are the glue between a company’s business and technical segments.
ResponsibilitiesAssume ownership of our core Learning Management System (LMS), a mission-critical platform used daily by thousands of learners across multiple industries. Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance both customer-facing and internal capabilities that support Regulatory, Customer Support, Sales, and Content teams. Drive improvements to these applications working in a cross-functional manner with multiple departments including Regulatory, Marketing, Customer Service, Sales, Content Production, Finance, Technology, and HR (Human Relations). Plan, oversee and lead projects from idealisation through to completion as required. Partner with stakeholders to define product strategy and ensure platform investments align with business priorities and long-term goals.
Work closely with product and technology leadership to develop, own and execute platform road maps. Work with product management and technical leads to determine scope and priorities for product development cycles. Engage in backlog management, actively grooming and prioritising the product backlog to ensure the team is working on the most valuable features. Develop appropriately detailed user stories and other up-to-date documentation for platform features to enable clear understanding by the development teams. Establish a feedback loop with development teams and end-users, gathering feedback in incorporate into future product interactions. Design wire frames and mock-ups of new application features.
Participate in scrum calls with technology teams to answer questions related to business requirements. Work in an Agile environment and continuously review business needs, refine priorities, outline milestones and deliverables, and identify opportunities and risks. Evaluate and validate the effort estimates for features and user stories with technology teams. Work together with business and technical teams to collect and classify defects, prioritise appropriately, and ensure expected functionality is fully understood. Capture and report on detailed operational metrics that can be used as a management tool to predict future results and to assess the success of platform deliverables.
Work proactively to predict and minimise potential issues before they arise. Conduct workshops or training sessions for teams, stakeholders, or users regarding new product features or updates. RequirementsBachelor’s degree is required. Five (5) or more years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager, ideally in fast-paced, tech-enabled environments. Proven track record of leading cross-functional product initiatives from discovery to delivery. High degree of both technical expertise and business acumen. Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, and verbal/written communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships across organisational teams in a dynamic environment.
Experience applying Agile development practices, collaborating with software development teams to alliteratively deliver continuously improving solutions to the market. Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority. Proficiency with modern product and agile tools including Jira, Confluence, Miro, or equivalent collaboration and backlog management platforms. Proactive, self-starter with excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Experience in e Learning industry preferred. Experience with SAAS platform a plus. Ability to work successfully via phone and video.
