Some of these business expansions are in development with additional floor and roof production lines, wall panels and additional building material supply innovations. Responsible for operations, day-to-day functions, and schedules, and works closely with affiliated A-1 companies.  Requires honest and ethical conduct, foster respectful relations, and achieve high levels of profitability in building materials and sales.

 This will happen through proper management of manufacturing facilities, inventories, budgets, employees, and safety programs while meeting Company objectives and customer commitments.  As a member of Management, this position will foster an environment of inclusion and team growth and work to develop and maintain the culture and Philosophy of the Company.  This position must maintain the highest degree of integrity, trust, and confidence, avoiding even the mere appearance of impropriety.  Reports To: Vice President and COO, A-1 Global Holdings, Inc.

 Reports IncludeManufacturing, Maintenance and Shipping Essential FunctionsDirect manufacturing operations toward accomplishment of Company objectives as specified in annual operating budget and business plan. Develop and recommend manufacturing operational policies and procedures. Develop specific short-term and long-range plans and programs with supporting budget requests and production objectives. P&L responsibility. Direct the operation of manufacturing at the lowest cost consistent with established specifications as to quality and quantity. Provide for adequate staffing of departments and see that employees are properly trained and have opportunities for growth.  Assisting in a clear career path.

Provide for preparation of cost control reports, production employee’s and facility requirement production/inventory control reports. Ensure prompt and economical receipt of needed materials and supplies to facilitate delivery of products to customers. Maintain adequate inventory controls and levels to conform to budgets and forecasts to ensure satisfactory customer service and delivery at acceptable costs. Ensure compliance of the A-1 Processes. Develop plans for improvement and/or expansion of production facilities and equipment and recommend to the COO. Working knowledge of Employee Handbook and all personnel policies.

 Communicate policies, procedures and objectives to supervisors and provides general direction in organization, controls, and procedures to administer policies and achieve objectives. Ensure that all the production is shipped on time, keeping coordination with Project Management/ Quality control and Shipping department. Manage efficiencies RE’s with production team, improving KPI’s. Effective communication and engagement skills. Sound understanding of financial matters such as budgeting, costing, forecasting, etc.

 EducationA college degree in related field or an equivalent of 10 years’ experience in Production Management, preferably in Truss and Building Component Manufacturing. A college degree with a major in Engineering and a Minor in Business Administration is preferred.  Work Environment / Physical DemandsOperates in a professional office environment.  Routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Required to talk or hear in a loud manufacturing environment. Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.

Walk the Plant multiple times daily to maintain visibility, engage with employees, monitor operations, and identify opportunities for improvement.
